Dreamsea Costa Rica is an eco-friendly, self-sustained, glamping & surf camp, strategically constructed on a 10,000 square meter patch of obscure land, centrally located in the magical jungles of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We provide a unique opportunity for the adventurous traveler to experience the authentic Costa Rican way of life, through a seamless marriage of Surfing & Glamping.
Through daily surfing, glamping, yoga, remote beach and waterfall excursions, paired with countless of other activities, our surf camp serves as a foundation to connect with yourself, other adventurous travelers, and Costa Rica's extraordinary offerings of nature and wildlife.
LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
Dreamsea is within 2-3 kilometers of proximity to four of the most exquisite beaches (Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta, Playa Avellanas, and Playa Grande) that the Guanacaste region beholds
Our motto is “Collect moments, not things”. Once you arrive in camp, you have to check out of regular life and check into your inner tranquility. While you are at Dreamsea, be prepared to open your mind, body, and soul, ultimately forming memories that will last a lifetime. Dreamsea is doing, Dreamsea is feeling, Dreamsea is simply being you.
Carlos Tello is the owner of the camp. The Dreamsea management team is composed of 4-5 individuals from all around the world. Our management team all seperately call Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and the United States their homes. Much like the camp itself, Dreamsea’s core is made up of amazing people from all walks of life.
We provide a couple different accommodation options in a Glamping Tent. “Glamping” is a progressive term for a new kind of travel, defined as “Glamorous Camping”.
When you’re Glamping, there’s no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, and no fire to build. Glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort.
We provide you two large and amazing meals per day at Dreamsea. The first meal will be breakfast, typically around 8am per day. The second meal will be dinner around 7-7:30 every night. We have a great chef at the camp, and we like to have fun and provide themed dinners to our guests. We rotate different countries and cultures cuisines throughout the week, providing you a wide array of different tastes and dishes during your stay

Whether it be yoga on one of our ascended platforms, table tennis with a new friend, testing your balance on slack line or an indo board, going for a bike ride, playing board games, or simply just relaxing in the common area, listening to music at the bar with a cold beverage, chilling around a campfire, or getting lost in thought in a hammock under our infamous mango tree, the options to remain both active and in unison with your surroundings in the jungle is plentiful!
Our surf camp is located in Tamarindo, the best possible spot in order to learn how to surf in Costa Rica. In “Playa Tamarindo“, “Playa Grande“, “Playa Langosta“ you will find the best waves for begineers and advanced surfers.
Breaks directly at the main spot and at nearby spots
Tamarindo is a surfing hot-spot on the North Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Consistent swells and offshore winds provide good surf conditions throughout the year. The central beach, Playa Tamarindo, is great for beginners to learn on, while Playa Grande and Playa Langosta, which are just a short 15 minute walk from Tamarindo, are more consistent with left and right beach breaks (Grande) and left and right point breaks (Langosta).
The average water temperature throughout the year is 28°C (82°F), and the best time for water activities is late spring, since Tamarindo is located in the northern hemisphere
Crowd factor and local people
While Playa Tamarindo is more populated than the surrounding beaches, every beach in the area is friendly, wide open, and encouraged to surf on by the locals.
