ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

The Algarve Quiksilver Surf Camp is located between the main surf spots, 5 minutes from the south coast and 10 minutes from the west coast.The Algarve is considered one of the best surfing destinations in Europe due to the large variety of waves for all levels and excellent temperatures all year around.

You will be surrounded by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The surf school is located in the magnificent Amado beach, undoubtedly one of the best beaches for learning to surf.

CAMP OPERATOR

Samuel Furtado founded the surfcamp. He is a local surfer who wanted to share his enthusiasm and vast of experience with other surfers.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

The villa is fully equipped, with all the benefits of a cool and friendly atmosphere with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, Playstation and surf videos. There are 4 comfortable and modern bedrooms, each with private bathroom, for single, double or multi-bed rooms are available. Living room with sofa / TV area, a pool table and fireplace. A terrace with snooker , bar, BBQ and swimming pool.

We offer comfortable Bungalows equipped with double beds or bunk beds and private bathroom, ideal for those who want more tranquility and enjoyment of all the advantages of Villa.

CATERING

We offer a home cooked dinner 4 times a week, including salad, main course, dessert and ice tea & water.

On tuesdays we will have a BBQ, the boss is going to make his famous chicken.

At the other evenings we are going to take you to our favorite pizzeria  and 2 portuguese restaurants. Which have great fresh fish and meat dishes as well as vegetarian food.

Our SURF WEEK is a great opportunity for beginners and advanced surfers to train and gain skills. You also can book your individual surf lessons.

The watertemperatuur is going to be between 13° and 19°C all year and we have the best possible weather conditions.

Surrounded by breathtaking nature. the portoghese west and south coast. Within a 2 minutes walk to the small historic village of Raposeira, where you can find 2 typical Portuguese cafes. Take a walk through the narrow streets with the typical Algarve houses worthwhile.

Activities and facilities

Visit the charming historic village Raposeira and take walk in the small alleys between its beautiful algarve houses and a coffee in one of its typical portuguese Café.

with us everything is possible Hiking, horse riding and riding lessons on our horses, dolphin watching, yoga and massage and spa treatments, everything is possible with us.

For those who want to experience the portuguese night live, arting with our legendary weekly BBQ and later in the bars of Sagres, where most people do not get home before sunrise.

Or just stay in our nice and quiet located camp and enjoy.

If it is very quiet at night, you can hear the sound of the sea, the crickets chirping, and you'll find yourself every night under a breathtaking starry sky.

JOURNEY

Ways to get to the camp

You have several options to get to the surf camp coming from Faro Airport.

take a Private shuttle: 85€, one way a car (up to 5 persons) around 1h drive.

Book your transfer with faro shuttle bus  25€, 2 to 4 hour drive time (put Sagres in destination and tell the driver directly that you want to be drop of at Funride Surf Camp in Raposeira).

If you prefer to take public transportation, you can take a taxi or the bus from Faro airport to the train station/bus terminal (downtown Faro) and then:

- Take a train to Lagos.Then we will pick you up in Lagos (free pick up saturday, other days 25€).

- Take a bus to Lagos. Then we will pick you up in Lagos (free pick up saturday, other days 25€) .

All you need to do is contact us, to let us know what time your bus or train arrives and we will be there to pick you up.

PACKAGE A - from 399€ per Week / Person

Note: From May to September, arrivals only on saturday. Prices for 1 person.

This package includes:

7 night stay with breakfast buffet.
- Bed, sheets and towels.
- 1 day of transfer to Cabo São Vicente (Sagres) to see the sunset.
- Five days surf course (15 hours).
- 1 day free surf.
- Wetsuit and board.
- Transport to the beaches.
- Wi-Fi.
- Pick-up in Lagos on Saturday. (2x a day, morning and afternoon).
- Drop-of Lagos on Saturday. (departure of surf camp at 11: 30h).
