Funky Fish Beach & Surf Resort is ideal for the Surfer who would prefer to stay in a low cost Island Resort, in the heart of the Mamanuca group just 15 kms from Fiji international airport.

Our boats run daily to and from the Surf Breaks. These trips are dictated by the tides and the swell conditions which change daily.

SURFER’S DORMITORY ROOM
This dorm has accommodation for sixteen with shared facilities. You can meet people from all over the world who are also sharing an unforgettable true island experience. Only meters from the swimming pool and beach, the dorm is a fun place to stay. The dorm has ceiling fans.

PRIVATE ROOM
5 x private bedrooms within the dormitory building with shared facilities. Max of 2 persons per room. Guests have their own key. These good sized rooms allow you to enjoy the dormitory spirit but offer you the peaceful seclusion for privacy. These rooms are close to the swimming pool and only 40m from the beach perfect for the budget conscious. Private Rooms contain one ceiling fan.

BEACHFRONT ISLAND BURES
2 bedroom premium Beachfront Bures with Kitchenette and large bathroom facilities.
The special feature of these bure’s is the concertina sliding doors that open the bure up to a fantastic private deck only meters from the beach. Just sit back, relax and take in the tropical paradise. These bure’s contain three ceiling fans each.
Bed Configuration: 2 queens, 3 singles
Occupancy: Sleep up to 6 people comfortably. The price is for 2 persons.
The 2 bedroom beachfront bure with kitchenette and an over-sized bathroom can sleep up to 6 guests comfortably.

Kite Funky!
This is Fiji’s hottest Kiting Paradise.  Extend  yourself in our kiter’s heaven, where we get regular South East trade winds from 15-25 knots, July to October.
Our South facing beach gives you cross upwind launching at high tide, or the Sandbank in front of the resort (a short distance away), is a world class location at low tide.
The waters are calm, crystal clear and warm over the shallow sand covered coral surrounding reefs.

Swimming
Our main beach offers safe warm crystal waters to swim in, or you could just relax in our newly built swimming pool overlooking paradise.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling can be done in front of the resort or on the surrounding coral reefs of Malolo Island. The Mamanucas offer world class snorkeling.

Surfing
We are a short boat ride from the famous Wilkes Passage Break. For a small fee we will take you to the surf at Wilkes or the Desperations, our man will stay with you as long as you like.

Diving
We use very experienced Subsurface Fiji who are a member of the Fiji Dive Operators Association. The waters and reefs around the Mamanuca Islands are world renown for a plethora of tropical fish and coral.

Fishing
Deep sea fishing day trips are available. Hunt the Marlin, Walou, Mahimahi.

Kite Boarding
Take advantage of our southeast tradewinds and shallow waters for exciting kiting.

Boat trips
Island hopping, sandbank viewing, Kiteboard pickup, day sailing cruise.

The Spots:

Cloud Breake
Rated one of the top waves in the world! Long fast barreling left reef break. Experienced surfers only.
20 minutes by boat from The Funky Fish.

Restaurants
Not as regular as Cloud Break, but famous for it's near perfect shape and barrels.Restaurants is a very challenging wave for the experienced only
It is 20 minutes by boat from Funky Fish.

Wilkes Passage
A regular performing right hander often over looked. This wave on its day can produce good sized, consistent, good shaped waves, ensuring uncrowded long rides. Along the coral reef edge, medium to experienced surfers.
12 minutes by boat from Funky Fish.

Namotu left
This well shaped left can offer exhilarating rides. Not as long as Cloud Break but still a class wave on its day. Medium to experienced surfers.

Swimming Pools
Is a more friendly wave. This right hander can pretty much be surfed on all tides and is the wave more suited to surfers of all ages and experience.

Seasonal conditions

The Mamanuca’s bask in the sun for most of the year. The temperatures average 32°C in the summer and 27°C in the winter. The 13 islands feel the influence of the Trade Winds which makes for a pleasant all round temperature.

Ways to get to the camp

Land Transfers

For guests convenience, Anchorage provides a personalized ‘meet-and-greet’ service at Nadi International Airport and due to our close proximity. Transfer rates are $30FJD each way for 1 or 2 adults. Additional adults $15.00 per person, children aged 3 - 12 FREE OF CHARGE under 3 yrs free.

Please Note: All prices include government taxes of VAT and STT. Please note the 1 or 2 adults definition is the same as a 2 adult minimum. i.e. 1 adult $30, 2 adults $30, 3 adults $45 etc....

Ferry Transfers

Anchorage also provides schedule and off schedule after-hours high-speed boat transfers, so that guests can be on the island the same day. We operate our own fast affordable transfer service from Anchorage private Jetty Guests travelling on our services from Vuda, Port Denarau or Nadi Airport will be greeted with shell leis and personally accompanied by our own staff to meet our marine transfer service. Fleet- Our fleet includes 15, 17, 25, 49 and 63 passenger boats. All our boats comply with MSAF standards in terms of safety and crew licensing standards.

Transfers are available through Beachcomber Island Resort and Anchorage Beach Resort contacts. These Boat Transfers are on schedule and are subject to amendment or cancellation based on weather conditions.

Boat Transfer rates include return transfers from Nadi Airport to/from Anchorage Beach Resort only.

Anchorage is one of the few Fiji island resorts to offer this after-hours transfer service. This allows the vast majority of guests to start their an Island holiday the day they arrive in Fiji (avoiding the additional expense of overnight accommodation on the main island prior to transferring to the island).

The boat departs from our Private jetty daily at 8.30am on schedule transfer.

Rates are inclusive of 15% VAT and 5% Hotel Turn over Tax.

Off schedule transfers can be booked direct with us with flight details and we will transfer you to the nearby islands on the same day as late as 8pm.

Nadi International Airport to Anchorage, approximately 15minutes drive

Anchorage to Bounty island, Treasure Island and Beachcomber Island -approximately 40minutes. Travelling times may vary due to weather conditions etc, for 1 or 2 adults is F$226 additional adults $113.00 per person, children aged 3- 12 are 50% of adult fare when travelling with two adults, under 3 yrs free.

Inclement weather may cause boat transfers to be suspended, Anchorage will make its best effort to source suitable accommodation if transfers are unable to operate and get you to the island.
