Hotel Komune's Beach Club is the Gold Coast's most unique bar and function venue. Our licenced Beach Club which is open to the public is the only beachfront venue capable of hosting functions and events with a licensed pool area, DJ and Live entertainment capabilities, outdoor cinema and a huge array of function areas and function rooms ranging from private booths, a poolside cabana, and outdoor sunset terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Each weekend our Beach Club fires up with a host of local and international DJs and live acts providing locals and guests alike a great place for a meal and a boogie until midnight. Komune Beach Club in Coolangatta can host functions, weddings and events up to 525 people and has played host to the Quiksilver Pro after parties, Miss Universe Fashion Events, Bleach Festival and many fashion shows on our unique over the pool catwalk. Hotel Komune are committed to safe and responsible drinking in our venue and strive to maintain best practice procedures at all times to ensure our patrons and neighbours safety and amenity.

Oceanview Share

The answer to share accommodation. Every share room has its own ensuite and balcony with beach views. Lockable storage for each person. Sleeps 6.

Most rooms have 2 single beds that can be made into doubles for couples wishing to book their own room within the share apartment. The fully licensed Beach Club is open to guests and the public from 2pm-12pm. Includes free continental breakfast & WI-FI (in Beach Club only)

The fully licensed restaurant is open to guests and the public from Tuesday till Sunday from 5pm-9pm. Our Beach Club is open every Friday and Saturday from 5pm till Midnight and every Sunday from 3pm till Midnight.

This 9th floor K Luxe apartment occupies one whole floor and commands 360 degree beach & harbour views with an ultra modern design. The K-Luxe has been designed to encapsulate the exotic side of the surfing and beach lifestyle with amazing spaces to chill. Sleeping configuration: 1 king size bed and 3 double beds in living area. Access via 1 flight of stairs. The fully licensed restaurant is open to guests and the public from 5pm-9pm Tuesday till Sunday. Our beach club is open every Friday, Saturday 5pm till 12pm and Sundays from 3pm till 12pm.

One of Adelaide's best wedding caterers from the Barossa Valley Winery Longview, Stephanie Heaven has recreated our menu with many new and interesting dishes mixing our old mexican favourite with some upbeat twists. Stephanie and our bar team have also combined to bring you a new cocktail menu with some exotic new cocktails and all the classics.

Our building crew have done an amazing job on our beach club to create many new booth and private areas both inside and outside ranging from 4 person to 100 person capacity.

Hotel Komune - it's more than just your wedding day

At Hotel Komune we know how important your wedding day is. It's an opportunity to enjoy quality time with your friends, your family, and your loved one.

That's why at Komune Resort on the Gold Coast we offer an amazing beachfront  wedding experience beyond the usual wedding day celebrations.

Our weddings include a spectacular ocean view as a back drop, relaxed atmosphere, beachside setting, all in a comfortable Queensland climate.

With a range of accommodation options available, you can stay the night of the wedding or make a whole weekend of it as you incorporate hen's and buck's nights, the wedding ceremony, reception and wedding night.
 
Wedding Functions

With a range of venue spaces, we can personalise a unique experience to suit your special day, catering for small, intimate weddings, up to receptions of up to 300 guests.

Sunset Deck

With a capacity for over 100 guests, the Sunset Deck overlooks Greenmount Beach and the Komune pool. It can be used for wedding ceremonies with a view, or as the reception area. There's also a large, outdoor movie screen we can set up on request for photo slideshows of the newlyweds.

Hotel Komune Penthouse

The whole floor Penthouse is a private function area with a capacity for up to 80 wedding guests. It includes a private bar and a huge outdoor deck overlooking stunning ocean views. This area can be set up as a reception area to suit your wedding theme.
Recommended Wedding Day Plan
Following a beach wedding at the private Froggies Beach at Snapper Rocks, guests would come down to the Komune sunset deck and watch the sunset while sharing canapes and champagne. We can supply a DJ for entertainment. 

We can set up our large movie screen strung between the palm trees to showcase your lives together.

When the speeches are done we recommend younger guests head to the penthouse function area. There the DJ can get the party started while guests dance the night away or relax on the balcony overlooking the moonlit ocean and the Gold Coast lights until Midnight.

Komune has an impressive portoflio of hosted parties & functions including Product launches, corporate team building days, Quiksilver Pro Entertainment Hub, Australian Titles Official Party Venue and many more!!

Komune has several venue spaces at the resort, catering for groups under 10 people up to large functions of 300+ people.

A raised outdoor deck partially undercover overlooking beautiful Greenmount Beach and the Komune pool.  Ideal for birthdays, work functions, engagement parties and more.  Includes its own Corona bar, table tennis and we can set up a large outdoor movie screen on request.

POOLSIDE CABANA - CAPACITY 25 PAX

A gorgeous poolside undercover private cabana ideal for hens parties, smaller groups and birthdays.  Right next to our heated spa and close access to main bar area

HOTEL KOMUNE PENTHOUSE - CAPACITY 80 PAX

This whole floor penthouse has its own private bar and huge outdoor deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean with arguable the best view on the Gold Coast.  Great for hens and bucks parties where a little privacy is required but also ideal for birthdays.

Coolangatta (4km, 10 Min)

1. Head south on Terminal Avenue towards Tom Norris Drive
2. Continue straight through the traffic lights over Gold Coast
    Highway onto Johnston Street
3. Turn right at Pacific Parade (from here drive along the
    beachfront all the way)
4. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Musgrave Street
   (drive along the beachfront)
5. Continue onto Marine Parade. Go through one roundabout
   (drive along the beachfront)
6. Turn left at the traffic lights to stay on Marine Parade
   (drive along the beachfront)
