31 years - Spanish Trying to running away of the cold weather of this northern latitudes, I was looking for a week break in some warm places such as Fuerteventura. The island gather all the ideal conditions I was looking for, since I practice kitesurfing and wanted also to experiment new water sports such as Surf. My approach was slighty different than other holidays, wanted to stay aside of the tipical accomodations packages and that's why I end up taken the decission of going to a surf camp eventhough I'm kitesurfer rather than surfer. What I found in your surf camp, was exactly I was looking for, open minded and nice people hanging out within a fantastic ambience, excellent facilities and another thing that was totally overexpected, the quality of the food, yummy yummy! We spent one week and finally I ended up taking some Surf lessons and yeah, agree with all the guys, it's addicted!! We went out with all the staff and dinner out together, did sport and enjoyed the nature that Fuerteventura provides. Even against my principles of exploring new things and different places, hands down, I would go back to the camp to keep improving my poor surf technique! I would like to thank all you the warming welcome we received and how you treated us during our one week holiday in the camp.

Awesome Great weather, great people and a nice, laid back atmosphere all week long. Everything is allowed, nothing mandatory. A perfect combination of action and relaxation. Would definitely consider coming again. I was lucky to have had private lessons almost all week long. Jamie did really take his time and perfect the details. Quite a character he is. Had a blast with him. The villa was close to Corralejo, where you can go out and explore nightlife.

US Family The highlight of our holiday in Fuerteventura was our three days in the surf with Star Surf School. On their advice, we chose a three day package for our family of five, which was a nice value and the minimum length I would recommend. Our instructor (Jamie) was fantastic with the children (12, 10, 8), who have never surfed before. They were also able to provide a stand-up paddleboard for me to try out on some of the waves. At the end of the three days, we had a very happy group, who had all caught a ton of waves and been able to stand up. We also had the photographer (Tim) accompany us, so have a wonderful portfolio of photos to remember the holiday. We look forward to our next trip, and will hopefully join them for a camp soon! Since its set up 4 years ago, Star Surf Camps runs its surf camps on the famous coastline of southwest France in Moliets and Carcans. After the set up in France, Star Surf Camps was proud to open its doors to keen surfers in Morocco, Bali and on the beautiful Canarian island of Fuerteventura. Star Surf Camps is very international and welcomes guest from all over the world. It’s a great place to make friends with like-minded people and above all, to learn or improve your surfing with the help of highly experienced instructors, who compete in surfing on a professional level.

Star Surf Camps is truly an international surf camp with guests visiting from all over the world and staff that speak numerous different languages like English, German, Dutch, Swiss, French, Spanish and more. The main language spoken is English however for all surf lessons and any camp activity they have translators present to help you in your own language.

Beach Front Apartments El Cotillo
Perfect for couples, groups or solo travellers who want to stay right at the beach.
Our beautiful, modern self catering apartments are front line on one of the islands most beautiful beaches. Situated in El Cotillo our 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments can sleep up to 6 people. The apartments are located within walking distance to a number of beach and reef breaks, known as some of the best on the island. Each apartment has the benefits of balconies and sun terraces with views overlooking the pool, beaches or waves. The apartments are within walking distance to a number of bars, cafe’s, supermarkets and shops and if you have a hire car you are only 5 minutes from Fuerteventura’s famous “North Track”, home of the islands best waves. These apartments are a surfers paradise with crystal blue water and white sand beaches on your doorstep and a charming harbour town a stones throw away. This is the perfect accommodation when combined with one of our surf courses. We will collect you each day for your surf lessons and bring you back to your door after a days surfing. Fuerteventura is truly suited to all abilities, beginners can learn to surf in fun and easy waves, intermediates can learn to read waves perfectly on the easy reefs and the advanced surfers can learn from the best and surf some of the most perfect and critical waves in the world. Here the beginners learn from the best, with the team of pros out with you each step of the way helping with a high instructor to student ratio and an even higher focus on simply having fun!
All the instructors are fully qualified Lifeguards and surf instructors from the local area. This gives you the advantage of going to the best surf spots suited to your ability every day. The swimming pool and exercise equipment will also be used to help you gain strength, learn how to duck dive and improve your flexibility, balance and performance. In the event of there being poor waves (rarely) they run theory lessons and video analysis on the HD Projector in the house. This way you can see and correct your little mistakes on a larger then life size screen making sure you will surf better the day after. In the region of la Oliva they have a wide variety of waves as we lie in the northern part of the islands covering swell directions coming from the north, east and west. There are reef breaks, beach breaks and point breaks here and with such an amazing selection of waves there to surf . When you go surfing they try to make a whole day out of it. Lessons run Monday-Friday, leaving in the morning, they find the best spot for surfing and hang out in order to get a couple of sessions in (around 1.5 hours each).

Journey
The easiest way to reach the island is to take one of the cheap airlines, which offer flights to the popular island all year round. You can be picked up at the airport in puerto del rosario for 40€ if you wish to, otherwise can take a cab or rent a car.
