LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

We are in the center of town close to all amenities and anything you may need to have a great vacation in a small village in the middle of Alentejo coast. This town has a small castle a huge river with a an amazing river mouth that even has a light house and a sunken ship wreck close by. If you are an advanced surfer you can walk for 15min an get to one of our A frame reef breaks called Choupana, very hard right hander with an easier left. At a 30min walk we have another reef right hander called porto das barcas, long right really good for intermediate and perfect for longboarding and stand up paddle. If you drive for 10min you can find long, long beach breaks called Aivados and Malhao beach, suitable for all levels depending on size. Furnas is another spot perfect to learn how to catch waves on a stand up paddle and for surfing beginners.

CAMP CHARACTER

In the Surf House we don't accept younger than 23 years old because we want to create an environment where everyone respects others space and sleep. There aren't any parties in the house because not everyone is up to it and we want people to have time to relax and feel like they are in their one beach house. But you can walk down to bars and club. There's many restaurants at our door step and prepare your self's to fall in love with our cuisine.

CAMP OPERATOR

Carla was born in Vancouver, Canada but was raised in Lisbon, Portugal. With a degree in hotel management and after 8 years of working in the area, Carla changed her career and became a freelance photographer in 2005. Carla is a surfer above all, started surfing at the age of 13 in Caparica, Portugal; with the help of sponsors she became one of the best young surfers in Portugal, winning several contests during her competitive career.

Surf House
At the House you have 3 rooms, 2 double/twin and one that is shared, max of 3 people; sea and river views from our terrace. You have 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor and we try to rent one room as a suite and the other two rooms on the 2nd floor will share a bathroom.
Main floor you have a kitchen with all appliances, living room, balcony and a double or twin room with a huge bathroom.
On the second floor you also have a little terrace with a barbecue and sitting area.

We provide surf with love! With us your surf can be in the clouds, in small waves, in a shaking storm. It will calm your life... Or wake up the dead! You can surf with us in the heat of the summer and when it's raining in the winter. Everyone is welcome to come on board, regardless of being 4 or 80 years old! We will provide whatever you want your surf to be - always with lots of love!

During a surf lesson or a surf guiding trip you can always count on us to shoot you and help you improve.

We will make sure you are at the right spot at the right time. If you don`t want to surf in the crowds and no surf classes, but would like someone to share your surf moments with someone; talk to us and we will give you some surf tips too!

We can take you to our outback in our 4x4 safari surf tour and get you to even other spots close by.

Alentejo coast line is a jewel, it has all kind of surf breaks and is possible to surf every day all year. Avoid crowds and surf alone or just with your guide!
