Located only 3 hours North of Sydney on the warm North Coast. Seal Rocks has long been considered one of the last frontiers of the North Coast. Cabin accommodation (4-6 share dorms) is provided at our Seal Rocks Surf Camp.

Go from beginner to winner! Our experienced and fully accredited instructors will take you through the basics of standing up, paddling, wave selection and ocean knowledge. You will learn to turn, take the drop and cut across waves. With a bit of practice and encouragement from our professional staff you’ll be standing up in no time. Waves has a range of new surf boards to suit all abilities. Ranging from large foam boards to short boards for the pro.

SURF CONDITIONS

---

Seal Rocks is the second most easterly point of Australia. This means clean water, perfect waves, and uncrowded surfing. The camp borders on Myall Lakes National Park – the tallest tree in NSW, dolphins, sweet lakes and cool Australian land animals are all right around the corner.

Ways to get to the camp

Transport from Sydney is included. Got your own car or coach pass? No worries! You can arrive any day. Either Drive yourself to Waves Surf Camp or we can come pick you up from the main bus station at Buladelah. Just give us a call for availability and directions.

PACKAGE A - Day Trip - from 95$ per Person

A great day away only an hour from Sydney. Enjoy amazing wildlife and scenery on the car ride to the beach. If the waves aren’t suitable in the Park we will take you to the Green Hills where we will 4wd you over sand dunes and drive up the beach to find the best waves of the day. We guarantee you will stand up in a day with a little help from our experienced instructors.

This package includes:

2 x surf lessons with our level 1 accredited coaches (around 4.5hours of surf time).
All surfboards and wet suits.
Beach BBQ or Buffet Lunch
All transfers/transport
Wild life and scenery of the Royal National Park OR 4WD the beaches and sand dunes at Green Hills

Spend 4 days learning to surf or progressing your surfing whilst discovering the untouched beauty of Seal Rocks. At our surf camp, situated 3 hours from Sydney, you’ll enjoy perfect warm water waves, amazing national park scenery, and epic on-tour parties. We’ll always make sure you’re surfing the best waves of the day. Sit back, relax, and enjoy 4 days of surfing paradise.

This package includes:

All return transport from Sydney Central YHA and Newcastle.
Four nights cabin accommodation at the new Waves Surf Camp, Seal Rocks.
All meals (vegetarians catered for).
Two progressive surf lessons each day at various breaks around Seal Rocks.
All surf equipment (learner friendly surfboards, mini mals & wetsuits).

Surf your way from Sydney to Byron. Spend a few days at our awesome Seal Rocks surf camp, party away on our beach-side ‘night under the stars’ and finish the trip at an authentic Aussie country pub with live music and Australian hospitality. The trip takes in three national parks, Three lake systems, Spectacular lookouts, Seal Rocks Lighthouse and more!

This package includes:

All transport from Sydney to Seal Rocks and up to Byron Bay (arriving Byron 8:55am on Saturday morning).
4 nights cabin accommodation (4-6 share dorms) at the new Waves Surf Camp, Seal Rocks.
Upon request, camping night on the beach. Tents provided.
All meals. Vegetarian? No worries, just let us know beforehand.

Surf your way from Sydney’s Royal National Park to Seal Rocks and back to Sydney stopping at some of the country’s most pristine beaches. Settle in to our awesome Seal Rocks surf camp, have a big party night under the stars on the beach, and see Kangaroos up close in the wild. We’ll always find the best uncrowded waves for your surfing pleasure.

This package includes:

6 nights beachside cabin accommodation at at the NEW Waves surf camp (Seal Rocks).
All return transport from Sydney to Royal National Park to Seal Rocks and back to Sydney.
