ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

The Alentejo Surf Camp is basedin Vila Nova de Milfontes on Portugal SW Coast, which is conveniently located approximately 150kms from both airports of Lisbon and Faro.

The town is located in the moste untouched area of the “Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina e Sudoeste Allentejano“, where the beaches are perfect to enjoy the LifeStyle with perfect waves to improve the surfing technique. The town benefits from a Mediterranean climate. Hot days and very good water temperature.

The Camp is also close to the heart of Portugal`s Festival Island, Yambujeria do Mar and Sines. So there is easz access to these events which includes “FMM - Music of the World Festival“ and “Sudoeste Summer Music Festival“, which currentlz has a line-up of top international bands. So you see, there are many good ways to enjoy your holidays.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

The best way to leran how to surf is during, in a minimum one week, in the way to practice the technique and improving your skills, step by step until the next level.

Surf Camp Week - Weekly Course
The surf course at Alentejo Surf Camp starts on Mondays, around 9am. Some chilled music will be on in the way to wake you up and get you ready for your first day of surfing. Breakfast is available. Fruits and salad, milk and coffee, cereals and bread, ham, cheese and jams will be ready for you.

After breakfast, around 10 to 10.30 am, its time to pack the equipment to the can and start our way to the beach, looking for the best surf. Once we arrive at the beach, just grab your surfboard and lets go to the surf spot.

The fist lesson will start around 11 to 11.30am. We will start talking about surfing, about the surfboard, surfconditions, safety rules and the YES, you are ready to learn the first steps of your surfing level on the sand and then improve it on the water. After the first session, it is time to relax enjoying the lunch and the lifestyle. The next lesson will start at around 3pm. Its time to ask about any doubt, in order to improve more what you have learned during the first lesson, in the next -/+ 2 hours. No rush, its only your first day :)

OTHER ACTIVITIES

So, your fist surf day is done. Now it`s time to get back to the camp and relax und till 9pm when the dinner will be ready. Its time to get in touch with your surfbuddies and enjoy your holidays. After dinner we can go to town, bars on the beach, or just walk around seeing how cool the place is! Two times a week wi will go for a Free Surf Sunset Sessions, all together enjozing one of the best set ups that our place has to offer. Also parties will be available, with special costumers and music pumping. The truth is that you are in holidays!, ahm :)

For those who arrive in Lisbon Airport the best way to reach is is bz National CHOACH, safe, comfortable and cheap. The BUS stops right in town and costs only 16€.

This package consists of a Daily Best Spot Search for each group, depending on the surfing skills of each group, beginner and andvanced levels. We recommend this package during a full week, in order to surf all spots in the area.

This package fits perfectly for advanced surfers who want to stay at the surfcamp and enjoy the day surfing by themselfes.

DAILY LESSONS AND RENTALS

If you are passing throught and want to have a different experience, book a surf lesson with us.
The Daily Lessons are available for beginners to intermediates.
We have also rentals available for experienced surfers.
Each Daily Lesson includes 4 hours of surfing lessons (2 h morning + 2 hours afternoon)
