Getting the most swells and having exceptional reef breaks, our resort is a top pick among all surf destinations in the Maldives. If you enjoy being based on a tropical island and indulging in luxurious activities after your surf sessions then you just found your place.

Love Charms is one of the most reliable waves in the area. On a low tide there are two distinct sections and on a higher tide the sections can link up creating a long speedy ride that will occasionally barrel.

Tiger Stripes is a very consistent long left that has several sections and nice walls for turns and maneuvers.  

Five Islands is a fast breaking right hander that breaks over shallow reef. It consistently barrels and can handle large swells.

Blue Bowls is a favorite in the area! It is a long right hander. As the wave bends around the reef it bowls up and generates powerful long walls and the occasional barrel. It can be surfed on any tide.

Two Ways: As the name suggests Two Ways is a left and a right. It needs a large swell to break but when it does it produces fun peeling walls in both directions.

Beacons is known as the heaviest and most powerful wave in the area. It is a hollow right hander with a very shallow unforgiving reef.

Antiques is a split peak that works best with a larger swell. It offers nice long walls perfect for turns.

We have 8 restaurant and bar options at Ayada Maldives, each offering a different cuisine and unique dining experiences, including Teppanyaki, Mediterranean fine dining and Asian flavors. In each restaurant, we use fresh organic ingredients from our garden and local farms, that makes our food authentic and luxuriously delicious. Ile de Joie, our over-water wine cellar offers a unique wine & cheese experience. Our chefs are ready to cater for all dietary requirements.

We offer surfing lessons for beginners in our lagoon, but our surf program is designed for experienced surfers

SURF MATERIALS

If you don’t want carry your own board to the Maldives then you can rent one of ours. We have a selection of good quality boards for rent including a variety of short boards, mid-lengths and soft-tops

Prices are $40 for 3 hours and $80 for a full day.

Important note: because of luggage size restrictions, boards over 7 feet are not allowed on domestic flights.

There is a complimentary wellness and fitness program including yoga, pilates, island runs, stretching and much more .

The resort offers a fantastic gym and yoga studio as well as a tennis court, volleyball and small football ground.

Ways to get to the camp
Upon arriving to Velena (MLE), guests are greeted by one of our airport representatives and escorted to the domestic lounge, then later to the departing domestic flight gate. The resort is only a short (55 minutes) domestic flight and a speed boat trip (50 minutes) away from Male.
