Playa Venao is a place for all skill levels of surfers. Our sand bottom surf break creates a fun and safe learning environment for your next Surf Camp in Panama.

Your Surf Coaching will be tailored to your skill level. Our coaching staff are talented, passionate, and truly want you to succeed in your surfing journey. Your first class will be an evaluation of your surf level. We will then set goals for you during your Surf Camp and watch you gain the skills and confidence to keep progressing and practicing on your own.

We offer Private, Group, Family and Premium surf retreats. On a day trip to Playa Venao? Stop by Beach Break Surf Camp for an intro class. Walk-ins always welcome.

BEGINNERS:
Beach Break Surf Camp in Playa Venao, Panama is the ideal place to start your surfing journey. The sand bottom provides a safe learning environment and the big open beach of Playa Venao offers many breaks for all levels of experience. Learning any new sport or skill starts with a strong foundation. Our coaches will be there with you every step of the way, making sure you have a strong grasp of the basics and water safety. Gain the confidence and the skills to catch the feeling of riding waves while at the same time meeting cool new people from all over the world to share the experience with. We believe that surfing is for everyone! We will get you up and surfing!

At Beach Break Surf Camp we can take your surfing to that next level. Many people have taken a few surf lessons, stood up, rode the white wash and felt the rush of surfing. Now take those next steps! Go surf with our instructors, learn how to identify and ride the best waves for your skill level. Gain the skills and the confidence to continue progressing and practicing on your own after you leave.

Please let us know your current experience level when making your reservation request. Tell us how many times you have surfed, where you surfed and if you have taken any coaching classes previously. We are always excited about helping new surfers upgrade their surfing! Meet new people from all over the world sharing their passion for the waves and surfing.

FAMILY:
Enjoy your next Surf Camp in Panama with the whole family.  Our family Surf Camp package is designed to have something for everyone.  Each day you will have guided surf lessons for up to two hours.  If you'd like you can split the classes between family members (for example: one hour of lessons for the kids in the morning, one hour of lessons for the parents in the afternoon). 

Besides all the fun in the sun and waves, you can also enjoy our fitness center which offers Muay Thai (kickboxing) classes, fitness classes, and (coming soon!) yoga lessons for the adults, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for kids (3-13+ years old)

Ways to get to the camp

By Air to Panama

Tocumen International Airport in Panama City provides worldwide access to Panama. You can search  with the airport code PTY.

Van

Comfortable and direct transport to Playa Venao can be booked with us at Beach Break Surf Camp. The price is dependent on the amount of people on any given day. Please contacts us for a transport quote.

Bus

The most economic options is to travel to Playa Venao is by bus. Busses leave Albrook bus terminal in Panama City every 2 hours untill 7:00pm. Taxi from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to Albrook bus terminal (45min) costs $35, a bus ride to Las Tabals (4 hr trip) costs $10, a Taxi (1-1/2hr) from Las Tablas to Playa Venao costs $45.

Rental

There are many car rental options close to the airport.  It is about a 4 ½ hour beautiful drive through Panama’s countryside to arrive to Beach Break Surf Camp in Playa Venao.

SURF TRIP TO ANOTHER LOCAL SPOT
After you've gained some skills at the beautiful break in front of your room, take a trip with one of our instructors to a neighboring "secret spot" and see what else the area has to offer.  Surf trip includes: instructor, transportation, snacks and water

MANGROVE SUP TOUR
Experience the wonder and nature that surround Playa Venao. Paddle through the mangroves on either SUP or Kayak before arriving to Isla Cañas. This tour is a beautiful, cultural experience. Tour includes transportation, SUP or Kayak, and a home cooked meal by one of the island locals, "Mama Yita".
