The west coast of Cantabria, where Dreamsea Surf Camp is located is famous for the great beauty of its landscapes and nature, the contrast of the green of its meadows, the white of the sandy beaches and the blue of the Cantabrian Sea, makes of its beaches an authentic visual experience.
Our surf camp is located in the campsite “El Helguero”, one of the most beautiful areas of Cantabria, a privileged and strategic location that will allow you to discover the magic of Cantabria, few kilometers away from Comillas, one of the nicest towns in Spain, famous for its streets and architecture, as well as for Gaudi's “Capricho” one of the first masterpieces of the famous Spanish architect.
This region of Cantabria is also well-known for the quality and consistency of its waves, a región with a great surfing tradition. We will visit some of the most beautiful and famous surfing beaches as “Playa de Luaña”, “Playa de Merón” o “Playa de Oyambre”

Dreamsea surf camp is not just a surf camp, it’s a new Era in the surf camp world. We were born full of energy to offer you a great way of life, teaching one of the most amazing sports ever created.
Our approach to the surfing world, especially focuses in surf camps as a new concept. We want to develop a great happy family with all the surf camp members, including you. In humanity we trust, and that’s what makes us keep moving and working by looking to make this world a better place, a peaceful and joyful world. Our objective is to create a broad multicultural and multi-language environment where everyone can enjoy a different summer, in contact with nature while learning one of the most amazing sports, and all as a part of a healthy and balanced way of life.

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

Sweet dreams come from sleeping well. In Dreamsea we think a good rest is an important part of having a great surf camp experience. We provide our participants with comfortable, fancy tents and high quality mattresses.

Glamping private tents
Because there is no reason to sacrifice comfort and luxury if you want to enjoy the great experience of outdoor holidays in harmony and contact with nature.
Glamping is a new and growing trend from the last decade, a fusion of glamour and camping. It is a perfect concept for those who love the positive points of camping and outdoors lifestyles but forgetting all those negatives aspects and enjoying a complete comfort.
We invite you to try this new concept of camping in our double bed glamorous tents. Furnished and decorated with a cozy and pleasant taste, out of recycled materials and equipped with a very comfortable mattress.
Our glamping tents are available from Saturday to Saturday, Saturday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.

Normal shared tents
If you are traveling with a group of friends or alone and you are looking to have an amazing time, get to know new people from all over the world, and you don’t want to spend that much on a glamping tent for yourself, we offer you a more economic option. These tents have exactly the same quality as the glamping tents but with 2,3 or 4 single beds. They are shared for one to four people traveling together. Choosing this option doesn’t mean losing comfort. These tents are made for eight people, so having enough room won’t be a problem.

In case you want to share your tent with friends you are traveling with, you should do the booking together or write down the name of your friends in the comments area during the booking process.

OUR SURFING PROGRAM IS DIVIDED IN THREE LEVELS
We want you to enjoy and take advantage of the learning process, to improve and to rip the waves. That´s why we have divided our surfing program in three different levels. Please, be honest and realistic with your level when you are up to choose a program. Read carefully the prerequisites of our available levels and get the one that better matches your surf skills.

All levels welcome!

LEVEL 0: THE BASICS
Get the feeling of ride small rolling and breaking waves on easy to follow steps. You will be losing your balance and falling off, enjoy the benefits of drinking salty water and stand up again. We guarantee you will stand-up having fun and a lot of laughs. Prerequisite : None, suitable for first-time surfers or those who surf a few times before and wish to get the right technique from the beginning in order to progress faster.

Basic course: 5x surf lessons (2h)
Intensive course: 7x surf lessons (2h)

LEVEL 1: THE PATTERNS
Leaving the Nest: Get excited, challenge yourself, understand the waves and how it works, timing & take off and perform front & back side turns. Prerequisite : Comfortable with the basics of surfing. Able to catch, balance and stand regularly and comfortably on broken waves without assistance. Able to catch the occasional green small waves if the conditions let us do it

LEVEL 2: THE STYLISH
I want to be independent! Join the line-up and surf other waves. It takes courage, it’s exhausting and exhilarating at the same time. An adrenaline shot. Prerequisite : Good board control and balancing skills, Can perform front & back side turns, Timing & take off not consistent, Good fitness & swimming skills

SURF MATERIALS

Dreamsea Surf Camp has all the professional equipment you will need in order to take maximum advantage of your surf lessons. Furthermore we have all the equipment necessary to enjoy to the fullest all your summer days in the surf camp. As we said before, Dreamsea Surf Camp Spain is not just about surf, it is much more, it is about a life philosophy, about enjoying every second of your life through sport, sun, beach, relax, yoga, comfort, etc. And in order to achieve this we provide you with a great selection of equipment that will maximize your surf camp experience, completing your holidays in a way of quality.
Obviously the surfboard is the key element in surfing, so our surf camp has a large gamma of different surfboards characteristics and sizes. Dreamsea Surf Camp San Vicente de la Barquera staff will provide you the perfect surfboard for every step of your learning process.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Yoga lessons:
Relax and replenish your mind and body through yoga. Yoga is a commonly known generic term for its physical, mental, and spiritual discipline which origins lie in ancient India. One of the really good things about yoga applied to surf is that yoga is a perfect complement for such an all around athletic sport. You will stretch and try positions that will help your body compensate for the exertion from surfing.
Choose between two yoga lessons packets. You can add your yoga lessons to your weekly schedule for only 40€ a three hour course or 60€ for five hour course.

Massages:
Massage service is available for you to relax your body and mind after an exhausting day of surfing. Fall in the hands of a professional massage therapist and get your muscles ready again for the next day adventures. This service is not included in price and available at extra cost.

Weekly activities:
Dreamsea Spain offers many different activities besides surfing like trips to Comillas, Mountain Bike Trail, Beach Volley Tournament, Ping Pong, Movie Nights, Karaoke and acoustic live music.
If you are interested, we can provide you information and organize a different kind of activities for you (not included) like horseback riding, rafting and paintball. The perfect peaceful break to explore the nature at the fullest.

Ways to get to the camp
By plane: 
Santander airport is the nearest airport to the surf camp, approximately 40 minutes away. From there you can use our pick-up service for just 30€ per person/way.

This service is only available on Saturday
Departure times from the airport : 11:30 | 14:30 | 20:30
Departure times from the camp : 7:30 | 11:30 | 15:30

Bilbao airport is the second option, it is located approximately 1 hour 30 min by car from the surf camp. We can pick you up from there for 45€ per person per way.

By Bus:
From all around Europe you can fly to the main Spanish cities, such as Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao. From any of this Spanish cities, you can easily get a direct bus to Santander, Cantabria. 

Finally take the bus from Santander to Comillas, where Dreamsea Surf camp will pick you up. Dreamsea Surf Camp Spain recommend you to use ALSA if you are coming from Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao.

From San Vicente de la Barquera bus stop, we can pick you up for 10€/way/person and offers flexible pick up/drop off from 8:00 to 22:00 (grouped by similar arrival times).

You also can take the direct shuttle from the airport to the bus station, every 30 minutes there is a new shuttle connecting the airport with the city of Santander, and from there you can take the bus which takes you to direction San Vicente de la Barquera and get down at Sierra bus stop, next to the camp, where we can pick you up from there for 5€ per person/way. 

This service offers flexible pick up/drop off from 8:00 to 22:00 (grouped by similar arrival times) every day of the week

By car: 
If you have your own car, it is also a good option to get to our surf camp by car. There is free parking available in front of the campsite. Check at Google Maps web the best roads to get to our surf camp, you can also check the distance and the approximate time it will take you to arrive to our surf camp. Remember, the destination is: Camping El Helguero en Cantabria, C/ El Helguero, s/n, 39527 Ruilobuca, Cantabria.

The price includes accommodation, food (7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 6 dinners), free access to all our surf and camp equipment, camp activities, and a lot of surprises. On Wednesdays, we have the optional trip, and dinner won’t be offered at the surf camp.

  Transfer service
This is a service just to make easier your way to Dreamsea. We could go to pick you up from the airports nearby and back at your departure. As we don’t have a huge fleet and traffic or other issues don’t depend on us, even when we try our best it may be delayed up to a couple of hours.
