Secluded in the beautiful pine forests of Le Pin Sec, just 50 metres from the surf, lies the unique and almost secret  Feral Surf Tipi Village.  Along the stunning Atlantic coast, it is here we find the perfect spot if you want to surf, party or relax.  Just outside of Bordeaux, the Medoc region is famous for its sun, sea, food and wine..

The area has a wonderful communal feel, with nearby surf towns that have a real surfer’s vibe to them, with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés and surf shops. With a thriving markets, street arts, music and entertainment scene during the summer months.

The Famous Lacanau-Ocean surf spot is a well known and popular surf town, which is just 25mins from the tipi village..

Feral Surf Tours is a concept born from the idea of living the life of a surfer and trying to introduce that culture to people who would otherwise never experience it. Through our surf tours and our philosophy, we see ourselves as your stepping stone to a life of rich experiences through surf and travel. Feral Surf Tours hopes to imbed in all our customers / friends the same passion we have for surfing, travel, and care for our natural environment.

As co-founders of Feral Surf Tours, we are all well seasoned travellers, surfers, entertainers and cooks. Between us we have been on the road 15 years, travelled through 40+ different countries, and learnt how to appreciate the true meaning of wealth, health and happiness in life.We have highly experienced Surf Instructors with full accreditation from the British Surfing Association, Australian Surfing Association.

Feral Surf Tours offers guided tours of the best spots for more advanced surfers throughout the west coast, daily tuition for beginners and intermediate levels, memories and good times for all. When you aren`t in the water, we will keep you entertained and not just with beer!

Our tipi’s sleep up to four people, if you are a couple and would like more private accommodation please email Feral for availability.

Camp capacity is limited to 15-20 guests to maintain our high standards and allowing our staff to get to know each guest individually.
Our camp is fully equipped with hot shower and toilet facilities

Quality

 

Our unique specially designed Tipi accommodation is a one of a kind space, for our guests to relax and unwind after a full day of surfing. Offering unrivalled quality and comfort. Each Tipi is fitted with comfy beds, real carpet, funky lighting and English plug sockets. You will not find any other company offering such amazingly high standards.

The tipis accommodate up to four people, but if you fancy something more private and intimate, then you can book a stay in our NEW 2 Person Private Tipi. Email Feral for availability.

The Camp itself is limited to 20 guests at any one time. This allows us to maintain the high standards and quality that Feral is known for. This also allows the guests and staff to get to know each other individually creating a big family communal atmosphere.

CATERING

All your meals are inclusive during your stay with Feral Surf Tours:

Breakfast and lunch will be in the typical French style with fresh bread, jam, omelettes, cheese, fruits, salads and sweet and savoury crêpes, served first thing and after the morning surf session.

The evening meals will be an altogether different feast back at the camp, every night will see a different theme i.e. Mexican, Italian and Indian nights. Our very own surf chef will encourage anyone to help with the cooking process to teach you how to cook on a budget, without skimping on the quality or flavour so you stay healthy and energised for the next day`s surf.

There are also a number of bars and restaurants on site should you choose to eat and drink away from camp some nights.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

Our camp and surf spots are ideal for either complete beginner or advanced surfer.

If you are beginner our surf lessons are designed to get you up and riding waves competently and safely. You will be instructed by our handpicked team of ASI surf instructors that live with you at the camp. Feral Surf Tours have the very best learner-specific boards and equipment for all our guests which won't let you down while you take on the waves. We can also supply more advanced boards for the enthusiastic new surfer.

SURF MATERIAL

If you already have the skills, and have experience surfing, you can take advantage of our intermediate training. With help, tips, local knowledge, photo and video analysis of your surfing, all of which are critical for your progression. Or you can just free surf to your hearts content. Feral Surf Tours have carefully selected our preferred breaks to ensure you visit the best and least crowded spots in the region. Advanced surfers that have left their board at home we have a range of boards long or short to keep you entertained!

 Feral Surf Tours cannot accept liability for any damage to personal boards or wetsuits. We also provide a large range of wetsuits from  petit to grand (that's French) to fit all sizes.

Surf Lessons are not available on your arrival or departure day.

During your stay with us, each day we will also provide an alternative activity for those rare nasty flat days when there are no waves or maybe if you just fancied a rest from surfing.!  So we have a range of other activities you can enjoy:

Horse Riding, Sky Diving, Kite-Surfing, Dune Boarding, Wine Tasting Tours, Town Excursions, Windsurfing, Bike Riding, Kayaking, Sailing, Lake Days, Paintball, and Volleyball.

Just to name a few, some of these however may not be inclusive in the price. These activities can be booked and arranged once you have arrived at camp.

Professional surfer, model and Ambassador Corinne Evans will be joining the team for two weeks over the summer to host our girls only holidays.

Throughout the two weeks you can take advantage of our normal 3, 4 & 7 night packages (see packages) with the added bonus of being taught by Corinne, Nalu Beads workshops, Pilates classes and girlie mornings wandering the local markets. Corinne will be with us between the 22nd July & 5th August 2013.
