ACCOMMODATION TYPES
Lodge in Santa Teresa Costa Rica
All our accommodations are situated on the top of a natural rock hill, in the middle of a private jungle. They are set back from the street for peace and quiet, but only 200m from the beach and famous surf areas.
Featuring all types of accommodations, we can create the perfect setting for any group. Dispersed throughout our tropical garden are two large apartments for families, private cabanas for couples and small groups, or dormitories for the budget traveler.
Every room features quiet balconies with hammocks and private open air bathrooms. We also include a book exchange and a DVD library, or catch your favorite program on digital cable. Do you need to get in touch with civilization? We have wireless Internet, PC for quick use or just bring your computer. If you like to cook your own food; you can use our fully equip communal kitchen, with a view over the treetops out to the endless ocean.

Bungalows:
All bungalows have a private bathroom which is partially open to the sky for hot water showers under the sun or stars, small kitchenette, fridge, safe box and wood furnishings. Our bungalows are built with an excellent ventilation system, and each has a ceiling fan. All beds have orthopedic mattresses. Each bungalow counts with a private veranda with hammock where you can enjoy spectacular Pacific sunsets, or just listen to the monkeys and birds.
6-8 Person Bungalow:
Large room (2 floors) with 8 individual beds 4 downstairs and 4 upstairs, no separate rooms, bathroom and shower which is partially open to the sky, small kitchenette, fridge and spacious veranda with hammock. Perfect place for a group of friends, rather than a family with kids or couples on honeymoon.
Suite:
Spacious room with double bed and an additional sofa convertible into king bed, 2 fans, safe box, mini fridge, large private balcony with hammocks, and private bath with open sky shower.
Apartments:
2 stylish apartments, facing our swimming pool. Both rooms come with ocean view, A/C, private bath, safe box. They are close to the communal kitchen.
Small apartment fits up to 4 people has 1 queen bed and 2 single beds;
Large apartment fits up to 6 people has 1 queen bed and 4 single beds.
4 Person room:
4 individual beds (2 bunk beds) with ceiling fan and shared bathroom.

All our accommodations include sheets, towels, soap, toilet paper, daily room cleaning etc.

CATERING
Our open air restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Dinner specialties include fresh fish and shrimp sushi, and other international food. The bar is open all day. Delicious food, good music all day, and a nice, friendly atmosphere are our highest priority! Chill out and enjoy a refreshing cocktail in our bar and lounge area. Our restaurant offers a daily menu specially prepared by our personal chef. Using the freshest local ingredients, we offer a selection of plates including sushi, catch of the day fish, BBQ and typical Costa Rican dishes that have been referred to as some of the countries finest cuisine.
SURF COURSE DETAILS
Just a 3 minute walk from your bungalow is the beach and the famous surf point. Santa Teresa beach has some of the best and least crowded surf in the world. You have choices to the north and the south on the beach. The water is always warm and the waves are always big enough. We can rent you a board and take care of all your surfing needs. If you want to learn, we can also arrange private lessons. Our professional surf instructors give lessons daily for riders of all ages and levels.

Swimming Pool:
We have a beautiful spacious swimming pool up on the hill with an ocean view. Come enjoy the view and beautiful landscaping.

Santa Teresa and Mal Pais are a pair of towns facing the Pacific Ocean, nestled into the coastal mountains of the Nicoya Peninsula, touching the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Our hotel is only 200m away from 3 top surfing spots.

Activities and facilities
Horseback Riding:
We can arrange tours in the jungle, on the beaches, and into the mountains with our English speaking guide. If you prefer to ride the horse alone or to spend a romantic sunset on horseback, this can also be arranged.
Hiking:
You can visit some nearby national parks such as Cabo Blanco National Park and Cabullo National Park. You'll see amazing tropical trees and flowers, exotic fruits, monkeys, red foxes, boas, and many birds.
Canopy tour:

ATV tours or rental:
Lots of fun, you can drive all over, even make a trip to Montezuma waterfalls.
Yoga:
You can take classes in different places, you can also ask for private class. What about massage?
Fishing:
A half day or full day fishing trip can be arranged. Catch yellow fin, tuna, dorado, or red snapper.
We can also organize a variety of trips to surrounding areas including snorkelling, diving, and other activities.
JOURNEY
Ways to get to the camp
By air - Mal Pias, Santa Teresa is 40 minutes away from the domestic airport of Tambor. There are daily flights from San Jose to/from Tambor.
The flight is about 35 minutes. Fly direct from San Jose to Tambor, than take a taxi to Mal Pais - Santa Teresa. You can make reservations prior to your arrival at Sansa or NatureAir.
By shuttle – we can help to arrange direct transportation from San Jose (airport) to the lodge and back.
By bus – there is a direct bus from San Jose, bus station Coca Cola. Bus schedule may change. Usually the bus leaves at 6am and 2 pm from Coca Cola bus station – San Jose center.
By car - Driving from the San Jose Airport to Puntarenas takes approx. 2 hours. In Puntarenas you board the car ferry to Paquera (1/2 hour ride) across the Golf of Nicoya. From Paquera it takes about 1 hour to Mal Pais - Santa Teresa.
