Homies Surf & Skate Camp is located in the unparalleled setting of Palmar Beach. Surfers would be able to enjoy one of the regions with the higher quality and variety of waves in Soutern Europe with over 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of sandy surf where surfing-perfect waves on both the right and the left will make your stay here an unforgettable experience. Palmar area and surroundings also offer a huge variety of spots for all tastes and levels of surfing.

If there`s anything we`ve learned over many years of surfing and traveling is the importance of the people around you when you`re out and about and on which largely depends how valuable and unforgettable your trip experience turns into. It is for this reason that we, at Homies Surf & Skate Camp, are particularly proud of our team, made up of the most charismatic surfers and skaters from across the region, as well as a team of professionals in various sectors such as hospitality and yoga instructors that will exceed all expectations you could make before we even meet.

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

Homies Surf & Skate Camp offers a range of accommodation, each a few meters from the beach, surf shop and the half-pipe, so that you always have everything you need on hand.

The main house consists of two double rooms and one triple, with 2 bathrooms, a large garden, porch, fully equipped kitchen and living room with fireplace, where we usually serve buffet.

If there is anything we have learned after many years of surf behind us - either through our travels, competitions, as well as in day-to-day at the beach - is the vital importance of good nutrition for both our overall health and for the physical demands of the sport. In Homie Surf & Skate Camp we provide you with a completely healthy, nutritious and well-balanced diet. Our meals are prepared by our kitchen team using only organic products obtained from gardens and fields in the area, and adapting those ingredients to your taste as far as posible. We provide two options to customize to your vegetarian or vegan dietary needs.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

---

Homies Surf & Skate Camp offers you with the unique opportunity to learn how to surf or improve your technique by some of the best surfers in the area. We will introduce you to the “surf culture” through a variety of intensive lessons, a guide who will take you through the best spots in the area, video recordings, and plenty of activities that will help you improve your surfing such as yoga and skate classes as well as sessions in our half pipe.

Courses taken at Homies Surf & Skate Camp are designed for all surfing levels and ages and classes are offered for both initiation and improvement. All courses consist of small groups with a maximum of 6 people per instructor, three hours of theoretical and practical classes, all materials needed for surfing (board, wetsuit, etc) as well as video recording sessions and post-analysis. The sessions also include the transfer to other beaches in the area to experience different types of waves, thereby increasing the surfer experience and accelerate their learning.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The region of La Janda- where Palmar is located- is a prime location for many outdoor activities, including recommended routes paddle surfing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, cultural and gastronomic tours, kite , windsurfing or kayaking.

Skate
If what you want is to learn to skate or find a perfect addition to your surf, at Homies Surf & Skate Camp we offer the possibility to enjoy our ramp and skate classes at one of the best half-pipes in the area - built by IOU Ramps, builder of numerous competitive racetracks in Europe and world wide. The half pipe is located just 10 meters from the beach. In Homies Surf & Skate Camp, we offer 5 days, 2-hours daily intensive course and the opportunity to also take single classes with one of our instructors as well as practicing on your own in your spare time.

Yoga lessons
Yoga is a discipline that has proven to be an almost indispensable supplement to improve performance in our sport. In Homies Surf & Skate Camp, we suggest that you know and practice Ashtanga yoga with us. Ashtanga can help surfers improve their flexibility and balance, calm anxiety in critical condition, improve breathing, and give strength and elasticity to the muscles through the postures or asanas.

Surf courses at Homies Surf & Skate Camp include 2 sessions of 1.30 hours each of Ashtanga yoga guided by Curro Arroyo, instructor with many years of experience teaching and practicing the discipline both in India and Europe.

Breaks directly at the main spot and at nearby spots
As far as surfing is concerned, the Palmar and its surroundings are an essential reference point in the south of Europe for all lovers of the sport. In just 20 Km radius (12 miles) are some of the best breaks this national geography has to offer with left and right waves for all tastes and levels.

Seasonal conditions
Around 300 days of sunshine a year and an average annual temperature of 18 degrees make this area an unparalleled paradise to enjoy time in contact with Nature and performing all kinds of outdoor activities.

JOURNEY

Ways to get to the camp
By plane: The nearest airports are Jerez (45 min), Sevilla (1.30 hrs.), and Malaga (2.30 hrs). From Jerez’s airport there are trains that connect directly with San Fernando and Cadiz, where we would gladly meet you. You also have the option of taking a bus to the town of Conil, near the Palmar.

Car rental: A rental car for a week is a very good option as it will give you freedom and autonomy to move at any time from different spots in the area, as well as allow you to visit different towns and local attractions.

By train: There are several trains linking the towns of Jerez, Seville and Malaga with the San Fernando station, just 30 minutes from Palmar. 

By bus: There are several buses covering the route that goes from Seville or Jerez to San Fernando and Conil. 

Airport transfers: Homies Surf & Skate Camp offers a transfer to the airport on Friday morning (from 9 to 13 a.m.) and Friday evening (approx. from 5-9 p.m). The price is 40 € per person one way, € 20 per person each way for two people and 15 € per person per trip for 3 or more people.
