ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

Your week in Gran Canaria includes five days of surf lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. After the 20 hours of intensive course, you will learn to select the best waves, how to move between the currents, and the proper technique to slide on the wave on a surfboard suitable for your level. The goal is that all surfers will feel calm between the waves and control their breathing so that they connect with the sea and can enjoy it safely. The day begins with a wonderful continental-style breakfast accompanied by the wonderful sunrise at Playa del Hombre. The first two-hour surf lesson starts at 10:30. At 12:30, it is time to share the morning lessons with the Surfcamp colleagues, to rest, have lunch and gather strength for the next surfing session. The second surf lesson starts at 16:30. At the end of the day it is time to relax, chat with new friends and share a beer while you watch the sunset from a comfortable sofa.

Come and visit this surf camp, located in front of the beach with one of the best wave breakers in all the Canary Islands. A sandy beach that is just a minute's walk from the Camp. You can start the day enjoying the wonderful views from the solarium terrace and finish it by doing yoga on the green tatami. Just relax and prepare for the surfing experience, and the team will guide you. In this recently renovated modern house, they have created a space in which all the essence of the sea seeps through the terrace windows into the kitchen, literally. You can prepare your coffee while you watch the waves at dawn from the corner of your eye. The solarium terrace will be your favorite place where we have comfortable L-shaped sofas along with a glass table and a stool, with room for everybody. The gym area for yoga and stretching is an ideal area both to relax or just lie down on the artificial grass with a padded base, always accompanied by the views of the beach. The kitchen has a central island, with plenty of space to cook. It is equipped with the best and most modern appliances. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable, and with a premium shower. The bedroom Padang-Padang is a private double room equipped with single beds and extra comfortable mattresses with high-quality bedding. It has a shelf to leave your clothes and a coat rack. Besides the bedside table, there are several plugs. In the bedroom Uluwatu a shared room you will find two bunk beds for 4 people, a large closet where everyone will have their personal space, also equipped with a ceiling fan. This bedroom has access to an interior patio with a glass door and an outdoor shower. Decorated in the shaka style with a coat rack made with recycled wood and with keels found on the seabed.

Located on the east side of Gran Canaria is a reserved quiet beach only 15 minutes away from the city center of Las Palmas. Playa del Hombre offers all year-around beach break waves on a consistent swell, the perfect spot for beginners / intermediates surfers. The surf camp is located right on the top of the ridge of Playa del Hombre offering a magnificent view from the terrace on the beach and the Atlantic ocean between Gran Canaria and Morroco with a stunning sunset.
