We eat breakfast and dinner together, after dinner there will be different kinds of activities going on in the camp to ease up the vibe and bring everyone together and share unforgettable moments. In our camp we are all like a big family with different nationalities but with same passion and vison of how to live life to the fullest.
Our jungle camp consists of a large main house which holds our globetrotter dorm room, jungle view private rooms, jungle deluxe air conditioned private room and plenty of spots to chill, socialize, watch movies and more. Right next door is a smaller house with our two jungle saver private rooms, living room, bathroom and small balcony.
All our rooms are a little different, read the information below and choose which one suits your vibe!

The dorm has an adjoining balcony and it’s own bathroom with plenty space leftover to socialise, play xbox, skate (you can use our skateboard, it’s great surfing practice) or just chill. Our dorm room has its own balcony, bathroom and beautiful outdoor shower with jungle views.
We know how important having the right food and plenty of it is for hungry surfers here at Lanka Living. Using the best local, fresh produce our brunches and dinners are legendary and sure to fuel those big surf sessions.
Depending on swell and weather conditions and how everyone is feeling we usually start the day with some coffee, fresh fruit and other snacks before our surf lesson at around 8am. Surfing on a full stomach is not the greatest feeling and can hinder your performance. After the lesson it’s brekky time! We have a huge spread of fresh fruits, banana pancakes, coconut oatmeal, coconut rotti, omelettes, fresh bread, roast tomato, tea, coffee, fresh smoothies and more!
Four nights of the week we have a big family dinner inside the camp. We mix it up every night and once a week have a Sri Lankan feast or Barbeque. On the two nights that we eat out we will show you to our favorite local spots you will love as much as we do!
All meals in the camp are prepared by our teams chefs who will happily cater to any dietary requirements you might have.
Surf lessons
Lanka Living surf squad includes 5 guided surf tours each week we split into two groups, level 1 (beginner) and level 2 (intermediate) . We stack our surfboards on top of our tuk tuks and will drive you down to one of the many amazing breaks we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep.
Our surf lessons are around 2 hours long divided in two parts:
Theory – Safety, technique, surfing history, ocean knowledge and video analysis.
Practice – We practice paddling, pop ups and stance on the beach so we have it down perfectly as we head into the water. Once in the water our instructors will be with you every step of the way making sure you catch as many waves as possible, improve your technique and most importantly – have fun!

Kitulgala Rafting: So much fun! Take a rafting boat down Kelani River and experience hardcore rafting for 5km over White Water, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids.

Why we Love Surfing in Sri Lanka?
With tropical, warm temperatures all-year-round and perfect waves nearly every day during our season (November-April) South Sri Lanka is a surfers paradise. Winds are offshore making clean waves, swells are consistently good and rain is at a minimum. Sri Lanka offers ideal conditions and a variety of breaks to suit all skill levels. Leave the wetsuit behind and surf for hours in our beautiful tropical warm waves. Sri Lankan locals are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet so the lineup is always full of good vibes, especially with our squad!
Ways to get to the camp
The distance from Colombo airport to Ahangama is about 135km.
We highly recommend airport transfer which is by far the fastest and smoothest way of getting here. The transfer will cost $100 and will take up to 4 people/Taxi, you will be in our camp around 3 hours after pickup. We can easily arrange this on request, just notify us by email.
For the hardcore ones, you can make your own way to the camp by bus or train, it will be a bit more tricky though. You need to get either a Taxi or Tuk Tuk to Negombo, from there you take a bus to Matara followed by another bus to Ahangama or the train to Ahangama.
Please note bringing surfboard with you on bus, train might not be allowed or charge you extra for it.
