ABOUT THE SURF CAMP
LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
Our surf camp is located 250 meters from the beach of Loredo, where waves break for beginners and expert surfers alike, so whatever level of surfer you are, we have the waves are for you. Loredo is one of the most consistent beaches in Europe, with more than 300 of surfing days per year.
CAMP CHARACTER
The original and best surf camp in the region, with rooms for 100 people, perfect for large groups. This is the home to our Surf School, where we teach all the theoretical classes, it is also home to the skate ramp, BBQ area, rental equipment (wetsuits and boards) and our legendary bar, where the parties go down.

Latas is a grass roots company born from a growing dream turning a love of surfing into a way of life. Our team is made up of surfers from all corners of Europe who have found, in Loredo, their perfect slice of surfing paradise to practice their passion and pass on to everyone who comes through Latas.

CATERING
We offer healthy, hearty meals to fuel your surf (and get rid of your hangover). Breakfast is included in the price for the accomodation. Lunch and dinner can also be booked.
SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS & EQUIPMENT
You will either learn to surf in a beginner or intermediate surf class with qualified surf instructors or if you opt out of surf lessons feel free to enjoy yourself, surfing all day, relaxing in our chilled out environment with other likeminded individuals.
All our classes are developed in small groups, with a maximum of 8 students per instructor with top the best equipment in the game: surfboard, leash and wetsuit or lycra. Of course you can also bring your own equipment for which we have lockers available.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Besides being next to the ocean, Latas has an awesome Bar, which acts as a great social hub to chat away the day’s surfing over a few cold cervesas and we host activities such as volleyball, football, yoga, Stand Up Paddboarding, skateboarding, and of course the legendary weekly Boat Party which sails through the bay of Santander at sunset, to the tunes of our top DJ. SURF CONDITIONS
Waves break throughout the year for all levels, such as the smaller waves of the East, our most sheltered area, or the waves of “La Curva” a peak famous for the quality of its waves and intended for surfers with more experience. Our instructors will take you to the peak that is most suited for your ability.
We spend the year surrounded by sun, sea and surf, so we are the best to introduce you to living the surfing dream.

Meet people, learn all the tricks of surfing, fill up your Instagram stories and experience Spanish surf culture with us!You will either learn to surf in a beginner or intermediate surf class with qualified surf instructors and Latas is the only surf camp in Cantabria that is divided into two groups according to age: Junior (for boys and girls between 12 and 14 years old) and Teen (for boys and girls between 15 and 17 years old).
