Not just minimum budget (more people in your group reduce your cost) also with this trip you contribute the advantage direct into the local as we employ us to serve you. Siberut Island Surf camp employing the local as well as the surf guide to serve you well during your stay in our camp.

The Surf camp base in Nyang-Nyang Island, Playground, Siberut island of Mentawai archipelago. The camp are  15 meters from the waters edge is the fantastic location of our Surf camp. The Camp was design by The Mentawaian Style with the solid local wood to strength and comfort. Our Camp Facing the ocean where you can watchs the waves from  the yard of the Camp while you drinks a glass of coffee or so (see the pic above)

Our location is between of E-bay and Beng-Bengs. From our camp you can reach the other surf spots nearby the Island which there are more than 10 waves you can reach from our camp (see the surf map below) with only max 10 - 15 minutes by our local wooden speed boat.

MST provides guests with two types of surfing trip accommodation. You have the choice of basing yourself in a Surf Camp or on one of the Charter Boats. Surfing is the main acquatic activity MST caters for. However, big game fishing is also available and is recommended as a quality extension to your time in the Mentawai Islands.

The island of Siberut is home to indigenous tribes whom you can visit and spend time with. Our Eco and Cultural tours are quite popular, in which our guests trek into the forest to meet the local people, learn about, and participate in their way of life. It all adds up to a unique sporting and cultural experience.

The Mentawai archipelago, approximately 130 miles of the coast of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, represent an incredibly rich tourism resource suitable for a range of niche tourism products. Located in the middle of Indian Ocean, 150 km and takes 9 hours trip from Padang by boat and if you go by fast boat it’s will take less than 3-4 hours. West Sumatra-Mentawai glowing with all the nature spirits and make it an extraordinary escaping spot from a hectic life. The Mentawai Islands have been administered as a regency within the West Sumatra (Sumatera Barat) province since 1999. The regency seat is Tua Pejat, located on the island of Sipura. Padang, the capital of the province, lies on the Sumatran mainland opposite Siberut.The total area reached 6011.35 km2 with a population numbered 384 718 inhabitants, covering 17 Districts.

The Mentawai archipelago has been ecologically isolated from mainland Sumatra since the mid-Pleistocene period, resulting in high levels of endemism amongst its indigenous flora and fauna. Siberut is largely covered with primary dipterocarp and mixed forest, as well as smaller areas of secondary forest and freshwater, sago, and mangrove swamps. High conservation value has attracted the attention of World Wide Fund for Nature and United Nations body UNESCO resulting in the declaration of the Siberut National Park (Taman Nasional Siberut) encompassing slightly less than half of the island.Siberut has attracted most attention from culture/nature tourists and researchers. The island has an area of approximately 500 800 hectares and has a population of around 22,500 citizens, 90% of whom are indigenous Mentawaians.

All Mentawai adventures begin in the city of Padang, and with a wide range of airlines and schedules to choose from. Your Flight destination is Padang (MINANGKABAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT). 1. MIKUMBA  -  USD 2700 per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights,  Minimum 8 Max 10

With the modern style interrior and the overall is designed for the surf adventure. As a large boat MIKUMBA holds 10 guests comfortably. The separate double cabins allow for a little added privacy for couples who would like to sleep together, or groups where the guys and girls would like a different sleeping area. The crew is always on the ready to drop you off on the waves. On Mikumba you also will serve by Friendly experience crew and Surf Guide who will make sure that you will be happy on Mikumba and make sure that you would be in the right spot at the right time.


2. MIKUMBA1  - USD 2700 per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights, Minimum 8 Max 10

MIKUMBA 1 Surf charter yacht is designed exclusively for surf travel. Caters for 10 Guests.There’s an additional single and double cabin as well as tons of nooks and crannies throughout. Mikumba has 2 bathrooms and an additional indoor shower. In Mikumba 1 you will serve by Friendly experience crew and Surf Guide who will make sure that you will be happy on Mikumba 1 and make sure that you would be in the right spot at the right time.


3. MAHABINTANG   - USD 3100 per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights, Minimum 6 Max 8

KM.Maha Bintang a brand New 19 metre fibre boat was designed and built to be a surf charter boat. It began doing charters in 2011 and charter dates are now available for the 2012 season.KM. Maha Bintang were based in Padang,West Sumatra and offering the charters to the Mentawai Islands, Nias, Pulau Banyak and the other Surf Location in the North of  Sumatera.

4. OASIS   - USD 2850 per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights, Minimum 9 Max 12

The Oasis was built in traditional Hardwood hull. This is her fourth season doing the Surf Charter in the Mentawai Island, Nias, Pulau banyak and the other surf locations in Sumatra , but she comes with a seasoned crew and surf guide! Oasis can hold up to ten guest Two to three people per room Each cabin is private and air conditioned SEPARATE DINING ROOM & KITCHEN MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT ROOM OPEN TOP DECK WITH SHADED AREA The deck is incredible. Runs the entire length of the boat. Lots of room. You will love the space!


5. AILEOITA 2  - USD 2600 Per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights, Minimum 9 Max 11

The Aileoita II is going into its 4rd full season of surf charters with a fully seasoned local crew which have operating charter boats, mostly surf charter from and to Mentawai islands, Telo islands, Nias islands, Hinako islands, Banyak islands and Simeuelue islands. They have lots of experience, and have extensive knowledge of the new surf spots formed by the uplifting of the seabeds and they knew several secret surf,snorkeling  and diving spots unknown by the others.


6. MELALEUCA - USD 2850 Per Person/ for 10 days, 11 nights, Minimum 9 Max 12     

Built new in 2007 the Melaleuca boast traditional Indonesian design with all the modern amenities and safety features of a western style boat. 80 feet of comfort and space at the best value in the Mentawais. More interior space under a/c and more exterior living space to spread out and take in the sights than any other local boat. Our surf guide couple and Indonesian crew will make sure that you get to the waves you want and catch fish along the way.
