Mita Surf Studio is a spacious indoor-outdoor apartment just 3 blocks from the beach and next store to Mita Surf Shop. Our newly built studio is complemented by a palapa kitchen and dining area, plus an one-of-a-kind lap pool designed with a shallow area for relaxing and playing. The apartment’s sleek and modern design offers all you will need for a terrific tropical stay! The studio has high-speed internet and we stock the essentials (towels, garbage bags, drinking water, toilet paper, soap). Weekly cleaning service included and laundry service available for an additional fee.

Stand Up Paddle Lessons & Trips
Paddle boarding is the perfect activity for those who enjoy being on the water and want to be active while enjoying the tranquility of calmer water. We work with beginners to help them find the best board placement and paddling technique as well as water safety. For those who are already comfortable with SUP, we get right in the water. Our Punta Mita SUP outing is great for all levels and is a unique opportunity to see the sites of Punta Mita from the ocean. $50 for approx 2 hours

Our trip to Isla Coral is designed for those with some SUP experience and who are strong paddlers. This excursion includes transportation one hour north of Punta Mita to the town of Guayabitos where we will paddle out to an uninhabited island marine reserve, sometimes spotting whales as we go. There is an opportunity to snorkel around the island as well. $160 (for two people)

Stand Up Paddle Surf Lessons & Trips
This activity is recommended for those who are already comfortable on a paddleboard and would like to experience the rush of surfing. All levels are welcome however, and those participating in lessons will learn the best techniques for entering and exiting a surf break on a paddleboard; the best paddle techniques for catching waves and controlling the board, timing and how to read waves. Experienced paddlers are given a brief orientation to the area before getting in the water and then are encouraged to ride some waves. $65-75 (depending on location)

Mita Surf Studio is located in the residential neighborhood of Emiliano Zapata. Many of our neighbors working in the fishing industry. Several mini-grocery stores within walking distance offer ease of preparing ones own meals. Guests can also take advatage of a mix of upscale, waterfront dining options (in a neighborhood known as Anclote) and economical local taco stands. It is generally a quiet neighborhood although in Mexico a roosters, dog or late night party is to be expected from time to time.

Although you can walk to the beach, restaurants, taxi stand and the bus stop from our home-- a rental car is helpful for exploring the area. We are a 20 minute drive to the popular town of Sayulita and a 45 minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta airport, Private garage area may also be available (ask about availability)

Surf Trips - from $50 for 2 hours

Surf trips are designed for people who already know how to surf but would still benefit from local knowledge and transportation. We look for the best spot depending on the surfer's experience and the conditions of the day, most often we do to La Lancha. We are there to assist surfers as needed but less instructional than in a surf lesson. Surf trips last for approximately two hours and include board, rashguard and transportation.

You may want to take a short boat trip with us to surf "La Bahia" or "El Farro" with beautiful views of the Punta Mita penninsula. These breaks are slightly more advanced and remote. $110-150 transportation fee (for up to four people)

Private Surf Camps - from $60 per day / person

Participating in a surf camp is an opportunity to really see your surf skills and confidence grow each day while working privately with the same instructor. Participants will learn  how to read and ride waves and safely enter and exit the ocean, pop-up and correct board positioning. Intermediate surfers may work on their turning and learn to gracefully and safely get off a wave. International surf etiquette is also an important part of surf culture that will be reviewed during surf camps. Based on conditions and tides, participants will experience a variety of surf breaks.
2-3 day surf camp $60 per day / 4 or more days receive a 10% discount

Guided Surf-Break Orientation - $20 per hour / person

We designed tis option for experienced surfers and paddle surfers who have their own gear and transportation and plan to surf independently. A few hours with our local surf guide will familiarize clients with popular as well as lesser-known surf breaks in the Bahia de Banderas. While visiting as many of the twelve surf breaks you choose to see, we will share our knowledge of parking, where to enter and exit the break, what the underwater conditions are (rocks, reefs, etc.) and which tide leads to optimal surf conditions. Participants select how many hours they would like to work with our surf guides, surfing along the way if they wish.

Kids Surf Lessons-Individual - from $35-50 per child (based on surf location)

We can work with children aged 4 and above-- the earlier the better! These lessons are generally only one hour and involve a brief land lesson and then jumping in the water. We are very experienced with working with young people and often find they are even more successful without their parents in water with them. Safety is, of course, our top priority-- but we also make sure we have fun too!

Kids Surf Lessons-Private Group - from $30-45 per child (based on surf location)

We offer a discount when working with siblings or friend groups of three or more. We maintain a ratio of no more than 3 children per instructor and again, safety is our top priority. These lessons are generally one hour long and use the same format as our individual lessons.

Sayulita Weekly Group Lessons - from $12 per child

---

We offer on-going group lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30. The group consists of local and visiting youngsters aged 5-12 years. This class is best suited for children who have some comfort in the water already but are still beginner or intermediate surfers. The ratio of instructors to children is no more than 3 to 1.
$22 USD for drop-in lessons or $12 USD for on-going lessons
