Location and surf conditions

---

No matter if you want to Surf, Bodyboard, Kiteboard, Windsurf or any other type of wave riding, we can only welcome you to our house and put our skills to work in order for you to get the most out of your stay.

You'll sleep in a beautiful, relaxing location, just a few meters away from  the beach.

It's still a bit unknown for non-portuguese surfers, but Costa da Caparica it'sprobably Europe's most flexible and consistent surf location, considered ideal for both novice and expert surfers. There are a wide variety of waves –  sand, reef, left, right, hollow, mellow – all within a few minutes of each  other. And if that's not enough, you'll find hundreds of different spots reachable within 60 minutes drive or less. We'll take you there if needed. With more that 20 years of surfing experience, we know all the great spots!

And we get Atlantic swells from all directions. There is nearly always a clean wave to rip or cruise on. And we guarantee that you'll surf, no matter if it's Winter or Summer. No matter if it's a calm day or a thunderstorm!

Our Surf Centre is right on the beach. When you are surfed out, just chill with a fresh beer or wonderlful glass of wine and relax.

Our accommodations are only 1 minute walk from the beach and feature our innovative Sleeping Pods. This means you can be in the water and surfing within 2 or 3 minutes after waking up. No complications, no waiting for mini-buses, no time wasted.

And speaking of boards, we have available a large range of high quality board and surfing gear. All included in the price. For you to use. Anytime during your stay!

Camp character

---

The camp has a relaxed and family-like atmosphere and welcomes everybody. If you want to party and drink after surfing, you can sit on the terrace by the pool and enjoy some cold beer or wine.

Camp operator

---

Rui will be your host. He knows the Portuguese coastline like no-one else. He's surfing for more than 20 years, packing incredible bodyboarding action. Rui was Worldwide Top 25 in 2009 and 2010 and he currently is number 4 of the Portuguese national ranking. He surfed some of the most amazing spots worldwide, from Hawaii's Pipeline to Mentawaii, going through Puerto Rico to Puerto Escondido and from Rio de Janeiro to Cook Islands. You name it!

Rui is a master in forecast reading. He'll know what spots will be working for a particular combination of wind, swell and tide. You'll never miss a wave with his advice!

Fernando it's your surfing instructor. A certified trainer by the Portuguese Surfing Association, Fernando has trained thousand of people throughout the years. He's a Caparica native who knows how to get the most out of the local waves and turn that into an advantage to help you evolve in your surfing.

Surf course details

---

There are two surfinstructors for a group of approximately 5-10 people. Depending on what you booked, there are daily surflessons and you can take the boards and wetsuits for even more surfing beyond the lessons. Lessons are for beginners, intermediate and good surfers and depending on your level, you will be given advice by the instructors. You can also just book the accommodation and surf-gear use without surf lessons.

Ways to get to the camp
From Lisbon
April 25 Bridge, detour to the Costa da Caparica, the
freeway IC-20, which connects to the A2 motorway.
Keep going heading West. Enter Costa da Caparica and keep driving until you reach a roundabout. Turn back and take the first left. Our Surf House is in the 3rd corner to the right.

From Cacilhas get the bus to Costa de Caparica. (TST - Bus 138 or 124)

Crossing Belém-Trafaria:
Board in Belém From Trafaria get the Bus 129 to Costa da Caparica;
