Óbidos Village Guesthouse is located at village Olho Marinho, in the best localization in Portugal: Peniche, the European capital of the waves!

Óbidos Village Guesthouse is owned by a family dream team: Carlos, Tânia & Cátia. After working in different areas, we finally decided to return to our roots and share the traditional Portuguese way of living with you. Located in the Silver Coast, we are lucky to have both the ocean and green landscapes in our backyard.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

We created a wonderful and unique place to welcome you. There’s nothing like getting to a charming house that combines modern style with traditional elements. We have the capacity for 16 people keeping it cozy and homely feel. The brand new yoga room is waiting for you. The guesthouse has 2 double suites with private bathrooms and 2 family rooms with private external bathroom each. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room are ready for your stay. We also have a private restaurante where all our meals are gonna be prepared and served with love. There’s a spacious living room with TV, books and Wifi. Several balconies and terraces to enjoy the sun are at your disposal. Our pool is perfect to cool off during the hot days.

If you’re looking for a bit more privacy, our dreamy suite with private bathroom is your best choice! High ceilings and old hardwood floors combined with modern furniture create a light and warm atmosphere so you might not even want to leave the comfortable double bed.

Family rooms
Are you spending the holidays with your family or your group of friends? Sweet dreams are guaranteed in our family rooms. One of the family rooms can welcome 9 people and the other one has the capacity for 3 people. Both with bunk beds, you will sleep comfortably in it and enjoy the tranquility of our Olho Marinho village.

Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Healthy and yummi food is our priority. Made with love, all of our meals are prepared with fresh products from the local markets or our garden. We want you to discover typical Portuguese food. Recharging your body and soul is one of our missions. We can easily adapt our meals to the different requirements of our clients.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

The definition of being at one with nature. The instructors will teach you how to keep your balance on your board on top the gorgeous and unique Óbidos Lagoon. Improve your physical abilities, promote a healthy and active lifestyle and raise your awareness to respect nature using your body and mind.

From April to November

No matter if you’re an advanced surfer or a beginner – this package is for everyone who likes to be in the ocean! We’re lucky enough to have a surf playground designed for all levels.

On this retreat, you’ll have two surf sessions per day and one resting day in between where you’ll do Stand Up Paddling on the Lagoon of Óbidos. During your time with us, you don’t have to worry about anything. We’ll provide you with an amazing home, ideal surfing conditions all year round and nutritious food.

Your surf instructor will be Carlos. He founded the Escola de Surf de Peniche almost 20 years ago and if there’s one thing he’s excited about, it’s surfing. You won’t miss any good wave, because he points them out to his students and teaches them the correct technique. The ocean whisperer will pass on his passion for the coolest water sport, that’s for sure.

Some of our favorite surf spots are Supertubos, Gamboa, Lagido and Pico da Mota. So rest assured, there’ll always be a place with the perfect waves for you. Actually, one stage of the World Surf League takes place in our backyard. Is this a sign that you’ll be a professional surfer after your retreat with us? Maybe…

Saturday/ Tuesday – Check-in followed by a welcome drink and a welcome dinner.

Sunday / Monday / Tuesday or Wednesday / Thursday / Friday – You’ll start your day with a healthy and tasty breakfast. Then, you’ll be taken to the best surf spot of the day. After enjoying your surf lesson, there is enough time to fuel your body with the food from the lunch box that we prepared. Right after that, you’ll head back into the water for another surf session. Finally, you’ll be taken home where a delicious dinner is awaiting you.

Wednesday or Saturday – Our last day with you. After your breakfast we will say goodbye to you and proceed to check-out.

Saturday – Check-in followed by a welcome drink and a welcome dinner.

Sunday / Monday / Tuesday – You’ll start your day with a healthy and tasty breakfast. Then, you’ll be taken to the best surf spot of the day. After enjoying your surf lesson, there is enough time to fuel your body with the food from the lunch box that we prepared. Right after that, you’ll head back into the water for another surf session. Finally, you’ll be taken home where a delicious dinner is awaiting you.

Wednesday – Another day with another healthy, tasty breakfast. Your body will most likely ask for some time off from surfing today, that’s why we’ll do Stand Up Paddling in Óbidos Lagoon. Afterwards, we’ll return to the guesthouse for a homemade lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll take you to visit the magical Óbidos Castle. We’ll call it a day by having delicious homemade pizza for dinner at Yoni’s farm.

Thursday / Friday – You guessed it already – we start the day with breakfast! And the day will proceed exactly like it did on Sunday, Monday and Friday. Surf is up!

Saturday – Our last day together. After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye and do the check-out.

Surrounded by wonderfull places, we want nothing more than you to discover and explore them all. Visiting the Óbidos castel is one of the tours that we provide. We also offer you the chance to ride trough caves and waterfalls with our brand news bikes. Several activities will be proposed to you during your stay.
