ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

Rougey Lodge is ideally located close to the beaches and also to the town centre. Rooms at Rougey Lodge feature scenic sea views and all include an en suite bathroom and central heating. There is parking beside the lodge and plenty of storage space for boards, and a drying room for wetsuits.

We are within walking distance to ALL beaches in Bundoran! Our sister company Bundoran SurfCo. is also a 1 minute walk, so you can get any equipment needed for the beach!
Rougey Lodge is a perfect stop off for anyone wanting to take a break from the hustle & bustle. Come surf, cycle, hike or just chill out with us!

Rougey Lodge is run by local surfers so you will be able to get all the details you need on where and when to surf in Bundoran.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

We have a mixture of doubles, twins, triples and quads. Our private rooms are 35pp based on 2 sharing or 50pp for a single.

Every room has a private bathroom and shower en suite. 

We provide you with a healthy continental breakfast each morning to set you up for the day, with juice, cereals, toast, freshly brewed coffee and tea.

You will find the lodge is a perfect place to chill out after surfing. There is a spacious lounge area with wide screen TV, X-Box and Netflix. We also offer free Wi-Fi throughout the premises.

Fully equipped guest kitchen with cooker, microwave, prep/ storage areas, multiple fridges, dining Area and free tea and coffee all day.

Many of the rooms offer views of the ocean and main beach.



We have bunk roms with either 4, 5 or 6 beds from €20. Each bunk room has a private (en suite) bathroom and shower. We can sell bunk rooms as bed only for €25pp per night.

We can also sell bunk rooms privately so you wont share with others

€20 per night per person – price applies for dorm occupancy of 5/6 persons.

A continental breakfast is included, and guests at Rougey Lodge can prepare meals in the kitchen, with various shops and bars within 5 minutes’ walk. The surf lodge also has BBQ facilities and holds regular theme nights.

We can cater for groups and can customize packages and do special rates. We can organise BBQs along with other activities such as Coasteering, SUP and cycling.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Our surf lessons are run by our ISA registered surf school and run at Tullan Strand and Rossnowalgh. Tullan Strand is a 10 minute walk from the surf lodge while Rossnowalgh is a 15 minute drive. We can provide beach transfers if needed for €10pp. All lesson prices include equipment rental for the lessons.

Rougey Lodge is situated in Bundoran Co. Donegal, right along the wild atlantic way.

Activities and facilities

We are located on the Main Street (East End) of the town, close to all amenities. The supermarket is next door to us (1 minute), ATM and off license sales are included, opening hours from 8AM – 10PM.

Ways to get to the camp

SURF BUS:FROM DUBLIN EVERY WEEKEND
We are running return bus transfers from Dublin every weekend. So no excuse not to come on one of our classic surf weekends. We can customize packages and dates.
The bus trips are fun and we generally run afternoon activities/BBQ parties on the saturday evening.
You can add a return trip for € 40 for your package when you book a surf weekend online.
The bus leaves Dublin city center every Friday evening at 7pm and departs Bundoran every Sunday at 4pm.

Our 5 day surf camps are open to both beginner and improver surfers.

The advantage of our 5 day surf camps over our general surf and stay packages is that we can keep the group together over the week and personalize the lessons to suit the needs of each person. With our camps we generally work off a lower ratio of max 6 students to 1 instructor.

The camps run Monday to Friday with lessons generally in the morning, leaving you the afternoon free to yourself to surf again, chill or do some other activities. Normally our surf camps are full with people from all over the world however this is a great opportunity for Irish residents to enjoy some of the best beaches and waves in Europe
