We offer to our guests four cozy apartments each composed by a large open space with a double bed and sofa bed, fully furnished kitchen, bathroom, safety, cable tv, air conditioning, internet wi-fi, cleaning service, mosquito net and a private and comfortable terrace surrounded by nature.

CATERING

In your apartment you will have a fully furnished kitchen. Supermarkets are nearby as well as restaurants.

If you are a non-surfer don’t worry because there is plenty to do like snorkeling, fishing tours, horseback riding, canopy tours and the possibility to go hiking in a natural reserve or if not just relax, connect yourself with nature and enjoy the beach, it`s really worth it.

There are a variety of world-class breaks with ideal surf conditions all year round between Santa Teresa and Mal Pais: Playa Carmen is a beach break ideal for beginners, Playa Santa Teresa is a beach break with various breaks from beginner to experienced, Playa Hermosa is another good beach break and there are also a few reef breaks, lefts and rights, like Sunset Reef and Suck Rock.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Formerly a small fishermen`s village, in the last years Santa Teresa has quickly developed into a lively little town but always immersed in nature, with a beautiful beach and incredible sunsets. The town basically is a strip offering everything you need for a perfect vacation: good restaurants, shops, discos, supermarkets, farmacy, banks with ATM, doctor 24 hours, rent a car and much more…

JOURNEY

Ways to get to the camp

By car: from the international airport of San José follow the signs to Puntarenas and take one of the ferryes to Paquera, they are called Tambor 1 and Tambor 2. Once there follow the signs Tambor -> Cobano -> Santa Teresa and follow the main road of the town for a couple of miles. On your right you will find Rumbo Surf Lodge.

By plane: from Tobias Bolanos Airport there are several daily flights to Tambor with an approximate duration of 30 minutes. From there you can get a taxi, or if you want just ask and we will come and pick you up.

By bus: from the airport of San José or from “Atlantico Norte“ bus station in the center of the city get the bus to Cobano-Santa Teresa and get off at TanoGas stop. You will be only 200 meters from Rumbo Surf Lodge.
