Sagres Sun Stay is located in the main road of Sagres in Algarve. Sagres is an enchanting village know all around the world for being one of Europe’s best surfing spot! Depending on the wind and swell, you will always have great surfing spot options to choose from either from the north or western coast beaches. Our camp is very close to Sagres center where you can find many surf shops, local restaurants as well as lively night bars.

Our camp is the perfect place to relax after a long day, where you can rest in a small paradise. At Sagres Sun Stay you will find a set of newly built facilities, with a clean-looking finishing, designed for your maximum comfort .Utilities include a wide T-shaped salted water pool; an area of fitness machines; surfboard and wetsuit areas; a bar that serves delicious dishes on demand, as well as varied and healthy breakfast options; Wi-Fi all around; and reception service. If you are looking for a sports adventure we can schedule surfing and a windsurfing classes for all levels.

ACCOMMODATION TYPE 

Our twin rooms with pool view are perfect for couples or friends who want their privacy and maximum comfort. With heated floors, ensuit bathroom, flat screen TV, fridge and a terrace and view over the swimming pool, our rooms will offer you pure relaxation

We have also 3 types of dorm rooms: for 6, 8 and 12 people. They are beautifully decorated and ensure your privacy and security with bed, curtains, lockers and heating during winter.  Free bed linen is available including duvets. The two big communal bathrooms are equipped with hair dryer and shower gel. Our communal kitchen is fully equipped and open to our guests.

At Sagres Sun Stay, we are committed to being environmentally friendly, reducing pollution, energy use and plastic. Especially since we are in the Natural Park of Costa Vicentina, we have a duty towards our local habitat and our planet. For these reasons we use LED light bulbs, we have time sensors for the lamps and have installed solar panels in our roofs. Besides, we apply a shower time budget to avoid wasting water. Because we are eco-friendly, every client that buys at least one night in our dormitories has a shower per day included on the rate. Additional shower time will have an additional cost. We count on your support to help us in these efforts.

Our restaurant will prepare you breakfast and dinners with locally sourced products and cater for any vegetarian or vegan requirements. We are incredibly pleased to source our fruit and vegetables from our local suppliers. At our bar you will be able to taste our wonderful cocktails and national beers while chilling with the new friends. Should you wish to cook for yourself our Community kitchen is also available

Taking up surf and windsurf classes with us will be an unforgettable experience. We promise to adapt each level to each individual, taking in account your well being and learning goals. Coupling a professional knowledge and teaching method with a friendly and interactive coaching approach, we guarantee satisfaction, great memories, and a good development of your skills.

All our surf and windsurf teachers are certified, so you can expect the highest level of technical teaching expertise and experience. Our teachers want to ensure that you have fun while learning at the same time. Our classes are catered for beginners, and for all age ranges.

Our teachers know the area very well which means you can take advantage of going to the best surf spots suited to your ability every day. When you go surfing, teachers try to make a whole day out of it. You will surf twice everyday and can set your individual goals with your surf coach.

Should you wish to take a break from the surfing we have a range of activities to propose which will allow you to take advantage of the beautiful landscape of Sagres. We have a range of equipment rental, including surf boards, wetsuits, skimboards, bodyboards, Kayak and bicycle. We also organise birdwatching trips based on request

Getting Here

Transfers from Faro airport:
Can be directly arranged from the airport to the hostel at any time at an extra cost.

Bus/Train from Faro to Lagos; Táxi; Car from highway A22 till Lagos and then follow the Estrada Nacional 125 until you find our hostel.

Nearest airport: 100km

The most practical option is to rent a car from the airport.

Another option is the transfer from the airport to Sagres or by public transport: from Faro airport to the bus or train station of Faro. After one of the stations to Lagos. From Lagos to Sagres

Please note that the first class includes a level test. This will help us organise better your daily classes. 

Beginner level: 
- 5 days of windsurf classes taught by certified windsurf instructors

Advanced level:
- 4 hours of windsurf classes (in 2 days) + 3 days of free equipment rental (equipment insurance not included)
