Here you can see, smell and hear the ocean all day long. Epic beach break with countless surf spots where you can surf alone or share it with a few kooks. Live like a local on a very chilled destination, join our house and feel at home.
An unique beach house on the dune, just 2 minutes walking from the surf spot, divided into two identical houses. Each can accommodate up to 8 guests in 2 rooms for 2 people and 1 bunk bed room for 4 people, all sharing 2 comfortable bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is a fully equipped kitchen with shared fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, etc. A big living room with a large TV, as wells as a nice covered terrace to chill with dining area, deckchairs and barbecue. There is a garage with a large storage and washing-machine. A lot of space to chill and relax!

Saint Girons Plage is located in the southwest French Atlantic coast. This is is one of the best surfing spot for all levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced surfers. This is the ideal destination to start surfing and improve your skills during your stay; with a pleasant climate all year round, miles of fine sandy beaches and exceptional waves. You will find a relaxed lifestyle, respectful of the environment.
The ultimate beach house

Local breakfast
A buffet breakfast based on local and/or organic products as far as possible is included in your package. We will offer you fresh bread and french pastries (« croissant » and « chocolatine »), tea and coffee, fruit juice, yogurt, butter and jams, local charcuterie…

Flight and transportation
Transfer Dax €60/person (subject to availability) We dont run transfers from Bordeaux, but from the airport you can easily get to the train station with a shuttle service. The train from Bordeaux to Dax takes about 2 hours.
Surfing is a difficult art to master. The process of learning can sometimes be very frustrating and takes quite a long time. Our goal is to help beginners and intermediates get better, faster, in a safe environment. Our course go beyond the typical “how to pop up class” and we make sure to provide clear technical advices that will help you continue to progress after our surf camp is over, so you will not be the Kook of the day. The lessons go from novice or ‘’totally kook’’ until advanced. We adapt the course for each level with the right board that suits you the best, and with the right tide so you can surf the best window (moment of the day). We might have to walk to find a good and empty lineup depending on the conditions.
Your Week schedule
You will sleep in an awesome beach house, just 2 minutes walking from the surf spot.
Everything morning you will enjoy a typical French breakfast with fresh croissant or chocolatine, fresh bread with butter and jam in our self service buffet.
You will surf everyday with Bernardo with a group of maximum eight people, from Sunday till Friday (2 hours surf lessons per day during 5 days, 1 day off during the week).
After the surf course, you can enjoy your free time – either on the beach, town, forest, or in the house!
The surf lessons are based in Saint Girons plage, few minutes walking from the Surf House.
Schedules are set according to the tides, which can be changed depending on the weather, and the ocean conditions.
Bernardo will be fully available for you and will adapt the lessons according to the weather and your surf level. He might propose activities such as skateboarding or fishing, in order to replace a lesson that could not be done.
Skill levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
Group size: Maximum of 8 participants
You can continue to FREE surf and use the surf material after courses.
Characterization of surroundings/region
Perfectly located between ocean and forest, the department of Landes is the ideal destination for your holiday. 20 km away, you can visit the courant d’Huchet, a natural reserve also called the « Little Amazon » for the richness of its fauna and flora. You cal also discover Hossegor, the European surf capital or Biarritz in the Basque Country. Spain is also a very good plan: you can do a one-day-trip to San Sebastian to enjoy the a wide variety of “pintxos » in the tapas bars.

Ride & enjoy
In Les Landes, you can experiment a variety of sports such as stand-up paddle, canoë or kitesurf on a lake; kayak in a river. On land, you can also cycling or doing horse riding in the forest, doing skateboard, practicing golf at Moliets golf course…
Enjoy local bars and restaurants
Saint Girons Plage is a small town but there is everything you need for your vacation with us. Restaurants with seafood options, a snack with fast-food, ice cream place, bars open until 2 a.m., supermarket, bakery and coffee, surf shops , clothing, bike rentals.
Ways to get to the camp
By car
By car is definitely the easiest way to get here, just use a GPS! Or drive through the A63 and get the exit 12 Castets then you’ll follow Linxe and Vielle-Saint-Girons. Once at the beach there is only one street, turn right at the end of the road and right again in the end of the street. Congratulations you reach the House!
By train
If you’re coming from Train, be careful if you’re bringing a Surfboard cause they usually don’t accept board bags and you might have to pay a fine for that.. The closest station is DAX, but once there you’ll need a transfer by car to get here. We can fix that for you or just grab a Taxi from there (kind of expensive).
By Plane
By Airplane there is the Biarritz airport (85 Km), Bordeaux international (BOD) 149 Km and Irun or San Sebastian airport (Spain), 100Km. Then you need to rent a car or get a train to Dax and a Transfer.
Surf lessons for all (children aged 8 and over) between July 13 and August 30. On request and subject to availability for all other periods.
