The Surfer's Den is our dream come true. After years of surfing trips around the world we ended up Ericeira, the only World Surf Reserve in Europe. As many do, we immediately fell in love with this magical place, and finally decided to move here. In little time we managed to create a place where to share our love for the surfing life with anyone who will join us!

LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
The Surfer's Den is conveniently situated in the very heart of Ericeira, within walking distance from anything you'll need: sport, relax, shopping, food, night life and more! From the surf house you'll be able to walk anywhere in a few minutes: beaches, surf spots, the town's biggest skate park, restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops!
CAMP CHARACTER
The Surfer's Den is not merely a surf house, but a meeting point where our friends come and share their stories and their passions. You will soon become part of our ever growing community, spreading the love for surfing and for life!
CAMP OPERATOR
People are what makes the Den special: both our staff and our guests! We are so passionate about what we do, and we hope that we can transmit our energy to you. Our staff is always present at the Den to answer your questions or doubts, or just to have a chat about your surfing session while sipping on a refreshing beer!
ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING
ACCOMMODATION TYPES
We combine our exclusive surf classes with an amazing accommodation in the very center of town. We offer both private rooms and a shared dorm in a familiar, friendly environment.
CATERING
Our facilities include a common kitchen and dining room open 24/7 to all of our guests. On the outside we have a BBQ set and dining facilities, a wooden sun deck with chill-out area and a small private swimming pool where to cool off during the hottest days!

SURF COURSE DETAILS
The Surfer's Den offers high quality surf lessons for all levels, from first timers to experts. Thanks to our very small groups, we can focus on each student, for faster improvement and much more fun!
What makes a learning experience better than the others? We think it's the attention that the instructor gives to the individual student and the connection they build along the way. This is why our classes are small and really tailored around the students' abilities: our beginners' courses have a maximum of 7 people, and our intermediates' a maximum of 4!

SURF CONDITIONS
Ericeira can offer you a variety of incredible surf spots, from beach breaks to reef breaks, perfect for all steps of a surfer progression, from absolute beginner to advanced level. As well as a good part of the Portuguese west coast line, these beaches are marked by the magnificence of some cretaceous period cliffs, offering very consistent Surf, with waves rolling over sand or rock formations, going left or right from one foot to overhead size
SURROUNDINGS / REGION
From the massive waves of Nazaré to Europe's westernmost point of Cabo da Roca; from the fascinating Boca do Inferno in Cascais to Lisboetas' favorite praia de Carcavelos. And again, from the enchanted parks of Sintra to the stunning views of Praia do Guincho and Praia da Ursa, down to the Natural Park of Arrábida near Setúbal. These breathtaking natural sceneries are just a few kilometers away from our home.
Portugal has a grand history and rich cultural heritage. Lisbon offers dozens of sites of interest next to the most modern cafés, shops, restaurants and bars. The nearby Sintra, with its stunning palaces, castles and gardens, is a Unesco World Heritage site, worth the trip by itself. And many more: the Palácio Nacional in Mafra, the fortified town of Óbidos, the sanctuary of Fátima...
JOURNEY
PLANE
The closest airport to Ericeira is Lisbon Portela (about 40 minutes drive from Ericeira).
AIRPORT PICK-UP
We offer airport pick-up from 1 to 6 people. Let us know your flight number, time of arrival, and if you have voluminous luggage (boards, big suitcases, etc.) The price varies from 60€ to 80€ (one way). Our driver will wait for you at the arrivals exit and will drop you off in front of our gate!
BUS
From the airport you can take the metro to the main bus terminal Campo Grande (it will take about 30 minutes); if you're a couple of people or more it might be cheaper and faster to get there by taxi or Uber (about 5-6€)
Buses to Ericeira leave approximately from 6.30am until 11.30pm (check the updated schedules at www.mafrense.pt).
Get off the bus at Ericeira bus terminal, look at your right, you've arrived at the Surfer's Den!
CAR
From the airport, follow the indications for A8 Oeste. Take the exit n° 14 and follow Leiria-Loures. Take the exit n°5 Ericeira-Mafra-Malveira and follow the highway A21 until the end; make sure you have some cash (around 3€ for regular-sized cars), as the toll doesn't accept foreign credit cards.
After the toll, at the roundabout take the third exit, following the directions to Ericeira.
At the next roundabout turn right, taking Rua dos Bombeiros Voluntarios. The Surfer's Den is on your right hand-side at number 18, just after the bus station.
Continue past the Den and you will find two small parking lots on your right hand-side and a bigger one on your left, in front of the mini-mall.
