ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

We are located in the small Berber fishing village of Tamraght, situated on a hillside over looking the atlantic ocean, just 14 kilometers from Agadir, Morocco. 

This is a traditional fishing community which has grown over the years and is popular with Europeans, looking for cheap second homes in the sun.

There are a number of cafes, throughout the village, a chemist, bakers, butcher, small shops, selling basic provisions, barbers, which does a great cut and shave for a fraction of European prices. The nerest airport Al Massira, Agadir is just 40min drive away from our Riad.

The main season in Morocco lasts from late September up until April, but you can find great waves to enjoy all year round. Thus, we will be happy to welcome you during any time of the year.

Our small camp is located in the quiet and relaxing neighbourhood. The accommodation is in a traditional Moroccan riad where you will find several rooftops to relax and enjoy your free afternoons. All age groups and both genders are welcome to stay with us as well as beginners, intermediates or advanced surfers.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

The Riad is a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden or courtyard. Our riad is a six minute walk away from the beach, in Tamraght, just 14 kilometers from Agadir.

The riad has several rooftop terraces with sunbeds and great views of the sea. Here you can relax after morning surf sessions, and watch the sunset over the majestic coastline. The center of the Riad is the interior garden with its own pool.

The rooms at the Riad all have ensuite bathrooms, which allows for greater privacy. We offer twin beds, double beds and family rooms.

Our guests also have access to wifi, as well as to delicious food, home made for you by our local chefs, and from local Moroccan produce, which is sure to leave you speechless and wanting to come back for more.

The reception at the Riad is open from 8 in the morning, untill 8 in the evening, but our Tiziri Surf Maroc team is available 24/7.

You can choose package only with breakfast or with breakfast and dinner. In all our packeges is included packed lunch. Food is mainly prepared with meat and vegetables, but if you don't eat or like something (vegetarians, gluten free, vegans, diet…) feel free to tell us and our chef will prepare different food for you

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

In Tiziri Surf Maroc are welcome beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. As well you can have only surf guiding. Our lessons take place in small groups, maximum of 7 people per instructor. That assure you quick progress. Our instructors are freindly and highly experienced.

Our day looks like:

8.30 – breakfast
9.30 – drive to the best surf spot (depends on conditions)
10.00 - 3 hours morning surf lesson 
13.00 – lunch at the beach
14.00 – supervised afternon surf session
around 16.00 – drive back to our riad

We provide you all surf equipment that you need, surfboard and wetsuite. 

Don't forget to take care for your skin protection, swimsuit, beach towel, sunglasses and maybe some camera to catch this amazing moments.

Excursions can be booked up front or upon arrival. We advise you to book upon arrival so you still have the choice to either go for a excursion or go for a day of surfing.

MORE INFO, HOW TO GET THERE & FAQ

The main season in Morocco lasts from late September up until April, but you can find great waves to enjoy all year round. Tamraght is place with more than 330 days of sunshine a year so the perfect timing to visit us is all year long. In the winter there are some strong swells for the intermediate and advanced surfers, but in the summer you will find small waves perfect for beginners. But don't get scared of the winter strong swells, if you are beginner, we will find spot suitable for your first steps in surfing. 

In the area you will find beginner, intermediate and advanced surfspots as well as beachbreaks and reefbreaks.

Crowd factor and local people

As there are a lot of different surf spots there are more than enough space for everyone. It depends on the which one you choose, it can be crowded but there are also enough really quiet and relaxed places, perfect for beginners.

In the summer the beaches can be crowded with local people, but again, we will find our place and enjoy our surf lessons as much as we can.

We are located in the small Berber fishing village of Tamraght, situated on a hillside over looking the atlantic ocean, just 14 kilometers from Agadir, Morocco. In the village you will find cafes, restaurants with local or european food, pharmacy, small shops etc. 

Most of the locals speaks english, but if you speak franch you will not have problem anywhere. 

Village of Taghazout, where you will find even more restaurants, shops, cafes, its just a short distance away from us.

Activities and facilities

After a surf day, the village has plenty of things to offer. Such as cafes, restaurants offering a choice of Moroccan and European food and also night life in Agadir. You can also walk back on the beach and try quad and buggy, horse or camel riding, or simply watch the sunset.

Ways to get to the camp

If you fligh to Al Massira Aagadir airport, we will pick you up in the airport, which is included in our package.

You have also option to fligh to Marrakech and after take the bus(aproximatly 3 hours) Supratours or CTM to Agadir and we will pick you up on the bus station, which is also included in our package. 

Important details

In order to enter Morocco:

- No visa required for stay up to three months for North Americans and Europeans.

- Your passport must be valid for six months following date of entry.

- Registration form in an academic Program in Morocco.

Please Note: Entry visas are only valid for three months; visitors that wish to stay longer should apply at the local police station within fifteen days of arrival. For other visa enquiries you should contact the Embassy.
