We offer in Tamarindo a great Surf and Spanish Program. You will participate in the Spanish Standard program and learn to surf or improve your surfing abilities in your free time during the week and on weekends.
Tamarindo, made famous by the classic film, “Endless Summer II”, is home of one of the most popular surf locations known worldwide and rank as a top-notch beach to learn to surf. The beaches in the area have diverse and excellent surf brakes with perfect waves and sandy beaches that attract surfers all year long to ride in its clean and warm waters. A true paradise that offers the perfect conditions for all levels of surfing from beginners to pro.
All the instructors are certified surf coaches by [ISA (International Surfing Association] and will teach you not just how to surf, but how to enjoy the ride, and the most important of all, how to enjoy the learning process, in a lifetime experience.

Casa la Carolina is located 2½ blocks from the school and 4 blocks from the beach.
There are 4 double bed rooms in the main house and each room has its own bathroom. In addition we have a small apartment for rent that is on the same property and has a queen size bed and a private bathroom as well. All the rooms have AC and a safety box.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, swimming pool, TV and Wi-Fi.
Student house WAYRA:
The student house WAYRA is located right on campus.
This house has 4 rooms: 1 big 3 bedroom with its own bathroom and two 2 bedrooms that have to share the same bath. Another bedroom with 2 beds on the third floor has its own private bathroom. All the rooms have AC and a safety box.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, TV and Wi-Fi.
Note: The lodging at the student houses starts on Sunday and check-out is also on Sunday, if not otherwise arranged. The rooms are cleaned 6 days a week.
Lodging with a host family:
Our host families live in the nearby towns of Santa Rosa and Villarreal. These typical towns are not located on the beach and are about 5-6 km away from Playa Tamarindo.
The students live in a private room.
The breakfast, dinner, laundry service and morning transportation to the school are included.
With a decent swell several good spots break in Tamarindo itself, including Estero’s consistent, fast rivermouth peaks, as well as smaller, beginner-friendly, straight-hander beachbreaks and several reef breaks like Pico Pequeño, Diria and Henry’s, all well situated for SW-NW swells, but always crowded when on.
Crowd factor and local people
Holidays are more crowded. Low season is more quiet. Locals do share the waves with others. All spots break always crowded when on.
