Loris, London - I’ve been to quite a few surf schools, and i have to say that Aloha is one of the best I have ever come across- simply because of the quality of teaching! Not only is Alex (the teacher) really good at what he does, but you can also tell that he’s enjoying it. This gives a totally different vibe from other surf schools where instructors might be more interested in surfing than teaching.
Anyhow, for what its worth, if you’re in Fuerteventura and want to learn how to surf (correctly) I definitely recommend the Aloha Surf Academy! -

Aideen, Dublin - In a moment of adventure, I did some googling, booked a flight and went to Fuerteventura last November, having decided my ambition was to improve my surfing before I hit 40. Surfing in the heat and sun in November was SUPER, but what made the trip really worth it was our instructor Alex. Clear, confident and chilled out instruction. He has a great ability to stretch your confidence far enough to try things I hadn’t thought possible – including surfing the volcanic reef of Los Lobos! Alex’s total commitment to people of all levels, getting the right waves, improving and furthering their experience, leads to recommend him fully as an instructor. Fuerteventura is Fab but nothing beats great instruction from someone who is has the same feeling about surfing as me – life is short, love the ocean ! -
