Francisco is your excellent host, and as an experienced surfer and marine biologist he is full of useful advice and interesting information! He is eco-aware, with tentative recycling facilities, and he lends cotton bags and metal flasks for water. Francisco is kind and funny and great to hang out with. He picked us up, and dropped us at the train station and on the day I was ill he even offered to take me to the clinic, you can tell he cares about his guests and wants them to have a great time. His cooking abilities ensure after a hard day of surfing you're full, happy and satisfied, ready for the next day's adventure! He asked with respect about food allergies and preferences (and even cut up my risotto mushrooms small for me as I don't like them big!!). The camp really is a lot more than a hostel, it feels like you are staying with friends. As well as Francisco, we met other travelling internationals, all of whom were fun, open and friendly. The location is wonderful, you're only a 5min walk from the beach or a shop- and Lagos is only a quick bus away. I would have stayed another week if I had been able to, one week wasn't enough!

Surfing:

I really enjoyed chatting to Francisco about surfing and surfboards, and feel really motivated to continue following my interest in surfing.

Other (e.g. Surroundings, Nightlife, etc.):

I'm always nervous about spending money on holidays, but this surf camp was really worth it. I felt comfortable and enjoyed every moment! Thanks so much, I will undoubtedly see you next year!

Jho'La Surf Camp is an awesome place to spent your hoildays! Francisco is a great host and chef (he was almost like a mum to us! ;) )

Surfing:

The guys from Future Surf School made sure we had a great time in the water when out surfing.

Other (e.g. Surroundings, Nightlife, etc.):

Also I totally recommend to book the Yoga classes after surfing!

My friend and me stayed in the double-room, and did a surf couse for one week. Jho´La Surf Camp is a very nicely decorated and cozy place. But what makes it so special is the atmosphere that the host, Francisco, creates. He is an excellent cook and always prepared outstanding dinners. Every day different - from BBQ to local specialities and fresh fish. He also prepares breakfast, and a lunch package for the day at the beach/surfing. In the evening we used to sit together with Francisco and the other guests and had some glasses of red wine.

Surfing:

Jho´La surf camp works together with Future Surf School. One instructor takes a maximum of 8 people, which guarantees that he can give attention to everyone. This is very important. I saw other surf classes where they had 20 and more people, and the instructor only standing at the beach. During my week, I got to know different surf instuctors, and all of them really cool and funny guys, but at the same time also competent and I did not feel unsave at any point.

Other (e.g. Surroundings, Nightlife, etc.):

I could not have asked for more. This place is just wonderful! :)
