ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

We are located close to beach. Everything is close in Sao Miguel because it is small island. 
Surf is good all year round.

our groups are small and it is easy and safe  to come by yourself too. Families are welcome too. Mid age is 20-40 years

Reetta is the owner of Lumi Active World Brand. She does it with her whole heart. She is passionate Surfer, Snowboarder & Yogi. Her Husband Jykä s the co-owner of Lumi Active World brand. He is passioned surfer. & Snowboarder He really respects and loves the Mother Nature. He used to worked as a full time as a Fire Fighter and a Rescue Diver.

Lumi Active World Surf , Snowboarding, Skateboarding & Yoga Instructors: Where ever we offer our Active Camps we always use professionals, to give you a best possible experience. All of our instructors are real professionals.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

We have private apartment for our guests. Rooms are share for 2-4 people. Bathroom and toilet are shared.

We offer you healthy Breakfast, Dinner and Snacks with Coffee, Tea and Water.
All our food is vegetarian with lots of fruits and veggies.
We can offer you gluten free food if needed.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

our group size is 3-6 surfer at the time. Also we share groups with their skill level. So it is safe fro everyone.

We have fiberglass boards for advanced surfers and soft boards for beginners. You can use them during the day too. We have some wetsuits as well for you to use. 

During the week we have once a day yoga for surfers. To make your body and mind more relax and calm.
We go for some hikes and nature tours and see the surroundings

 São Miguel is the center of the Azores surf, due to the variety of waves both in terms of quantity and of diversity.

Seasonal conditions

Fall and winter months give you lots of waves. Ocean produces larger swells and waves are more consistent. It is perfect season for surfer with intermediate and advances skills.
Spring and early summer is then good for less experienced surfer with more gentle swell and waves.

Crowd factor and local people

Always respect the locals and other surfers. The Azores is not that crowd 

Characterization of surroundings/region

The Azores are small Archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. The Azores are volcanic island
Terceira island is biggest of the Azores. There plenty of things to do and scenery is amazing and landscape varies a lot. It is humid and super green nature.

São Miguel is the biggest island in the Portuguese Azores archipelago. It’s known for its volcanic scenery, flora and rich marine life, including whales.

Activities and facilities

You can go surfing, hiking, nature tours etc. The Azores are for natures lovers. 
In Sao Miguel there places to do some shopping.

Ways to get to the camp

You need to come with Airplane. There is Airport in Terceira Island in Sao Miguel  Aeroport Joao Paulo II.
From the airport you can come with taxi or we can organize pick up with extra fee.
