LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
Jeffreys Bay is also littered with other excellent surf spots that aren’t as easy to locate. We have alternative packages for experienced surfers that understands the value of local knowledge. An experienced local guide will take you to spots where you can enjoy the best surf in the world, or you could just watch the elite rip up the waves while you bask in the African sun.

We have a variety of rooms ranging from luxury seven-person dorms all the way up to our idyllic honeymoon suite. Nestled in the Paradise Beach, we stand ready and waiting to show you that this little piece of Eden more than lives up to its name.
Surf Lodge South Africa is more than just some plain accommodation in Jeffreys Bay though. As our name suggests, we are first and foremost the most rad Surf Lodge on the African Coastline! What makes us so rad? We’re glad you asked. In addition to being a luxury surf camp, we are both a surf lodge and yoga retreat. If you need to find your centre, unwind and relax your mind you can do it by hitting the waves or meditating on the beach at sunrise. Or both!

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS
Our experienced instructors will provide daily group beginner surf lessons, tailored to your skill level. Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate surfer, our comprehensive program is designed to enhance your techniques, boost your confidence, and get you riding the waves with ease.
Our routine schedule is like this:
7:30 - Breakfast is ready
8:30 - Leave for surf lesson
9:00 - Start surf lesson
10:30 - End surf lesson
11:00 - Leave back to lodge
12:30 - Leave for an extra activity / relax & tan / Surf again
18:30 - Dinner - this may be a lodge included dinner (specified in a package) or a self catering dinner or joint outing at a restaurant
SURF MATERIALS
Surf equipment is included in the lessons.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
We offer lots of different extra activities to be booked separately, for example half-day safaris, horse riding and yoga. Extra activities can be booked on arrival.

Is South Africa safe?
South Africa is renowned for a high crime country. However these statistic are in highly populated areas. Hence Jeffreys Bay is generally considered to be a safe city. There is a low crime rate and most of it is petty crime. The Surf Lodge is based in a suburb called Paradise Beach. This well known to be even safer as it is isolated and well guarded by various security.
Remember that while there are risks associated with traveling to any country, many visitors have enjoyable and incident-free experiences in South Africa. By being aware of your surroundings and taking appropriate precautions, you can reduce the likelihood of encountering any issues during your trip.
Can I add extra surf lessons?
If you have booked a package which includes surf lessons, extra lessons can be added if coaches are available. The price will be determined on how many lessons you have already received and where relevant the package prices will be applied.
If you have yet to book a surf lesson, you can add this to you booking by contacting our team with your booking number and we will happily add this to your booking.
