LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

SURF SAFARI is located in Tamraght, just 10 kms from Agadir, very close to the village called Aourir. The Villa / Camp is located just 5 minutes walk from the beach, near surf spots for all levels. Our local spot is Banana beach. Whether you’re a beginner or a more seasoned surfer, there are plenty of beaches with varying swells for all levels. With roughly 20 different surf spots in the surrounding areas, no surf day needs to be the same. There are miles of beach breaks suitable for surfing newbies, including Imourane and K11, where plenty of white waves make great training grounds. Anchor Point is the Holy Grail for more advanced surfers, well known for its right-hand long curling breaks. Tamraght is the place to head to, when the waves are flat elsewhere.

We are a Surf Camp very stylish to slip into, in a friendly atmosphere, open for different activities, Surf school. Surf guiding, Yoga retreats and more, which brings us closer than a family. Eco concepts implemented where ever possible to make your holiday not only comfortable but also with a minimal impact on our precious environment. Offering surf & yoga classes, incredible nature trails, conservation workshops, both indoor & outdoor’s Events, unique atmosphere and a place to rest your weary legs and relax.

CAMP OPERATOR

The manager of the camp is Cyril Lapierre, borned in Bayonne and raised in Biarritz. With 20 years of experience in teaching surfing and surf coaching, holder of a sports educator certificate with surf option, ran a surf school in the south of France. He will supervise your sessions with the surf instructors and will provide you with individual debriefs on a daily basis.

The SAFARI villa is inspired by bangalows designs. You will find comfortable hangouts around the garden,Swimming pool, and Chill area for relaxing and calming the mind. The villa is ideal for those who want a peaceful, and private retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The location is perfect, calm and very close to all the hotspots & surfspots. You will be staying in a comfortable villa with big and fully furnished rooms that have been designed to offer you maximum rest and privacy. There are private rooms with a kingsize bed, accommodating Solo & groups. All rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, , safety box, hot shower, fresh towels and toiletries.

Breaks directly at the main spot and at nearby spots

Killer Point (12 km)
A powerful wave. Which is higher than you think.

La Source (12.6 km)
A performance wave. Just a little less than tall and powerful Killer Point.

Mysteries (12.3 km)
Located directly next to La Source. The waves break partly on the sand. What makes things more relaxed.

Hash Point (6 km)
One of the most relaxed waves.

Anchor Point (8 km)
A steep take off. Powerful point break, which remains on a good day walk.

BOILERS (29 km)
A steep take off. Powerful point break, which remains on a good day walk.

Devil’s Rock (0.8 km)
A tough name for a break each day can be different. Right and left waves. But, in particular, a right hand.

Banana Beach (0.2 km)
Here you will often find the beginners because it is a relatively easy golf.

IMSOUANE (66 km)
There is not just one surf Surf Spot in Imsouane town but two amazing surfing beaches.

ANZA (6 km)
Magical 6 past years until now, Anza is really popular with local surfers this season. The beach is only 10 minutes away – Drive south and it’s just before Agadir Harbour. This awesome spot has a peaky, steep left which sits on a reef, and a mellower, pealing right on the sand. The middle section works too so there’s loads of space for everyone!

TAMRI (53 km)
Located at the mouth of a ‘oued’ irrigating banana plantations, this ultra-consistent beach break is the go when Tarhazoute is flat. Unfortunately, it is onshore in the N winds.

SIDI IFNI (174 km)
The main wave is a long righthand wall breaking over boulder type rocks way on the outside. 2 lefts and the town beach break complete the panorama on the “promenade”. 2km to the south, a righthander breaks off the end of the harbour wall that protects an inside left when big.

Characterization of surroundings/region

The centre of Aourir (Banana Village) is just 10 minutes walk where you can find shops, banks, restaurants, cafeterias, chemist, doctors and the famous Wednesday market or Souk, which is a must see if you would like to experience the authentic Morocco. Tamraght village centre is also within walking distance from our Lodge. The bus stop is just right in front of the property, from where you can get to Agadir or Taghazout.

TAFRAOUT
A small Berber - speaking town in the Moroccan Anti-Atlas located 180  km south of Agadir in the Souss region in the heart of the Ammelne Valley, in the middle of a circus of rocks of pink granite, famous for its colors, it was at several times the capital of Souss. This city which was originally a souk is surrounded by several hundred tribes. Get to know Morocco’s countryside and explore the Berber town of Tafraout on this full-day tour. Travel through Ameln Valley, take in panoramic views from Kerdous Peak, meet locals, find ancient traditions, and enjoy an authentic Moroccan lunch—all in 1 day!

AGADIR MARKET (SOUK EL HAD)
Half day trip to the biggest souk (local market) in the area where you can find a lot of different traditional Moroccan goods, handicrafts, souvenirs and spices, fresh fruits and vegetables and of course wide selection of argan products.

Legzira Beach 1-Day Excursion
Situated in 150 km in the South of Agadir, Legzira is one of the most beautiful beaches of Morocco. She offers breathtaking landscapes due to waves appreciated by the surfers but also, and especially, by her arcs astronomical of rocks and lands red were sculptured by the sea. This isolated and desert beach offers you a landscape as impressive as magic in contact with the Moroccan nature.During the route, you will have the opportunity of you stop(arrest) on the beaches(ranges) of Aglou and Mirleft. Once arrived on the beach(range) of Legzira, you can take advantage of the landscape as you think best: sunbathe on the fine sand, swim in the clear water... A pleasure for eyes not to be missed. Taste(savor), for the lunch, an assortment of grilled fishes of the season. For return, it is possible to pass by the city of Tiznit.

IMSOUANE
Imsouane is small town which is popular due to its wonderful scenes, tranquility and perfect waves for surfing. There are two main spots for surfing in Imsouane: La Cathedrale, a beach break spot and La Bay, a point break spot. Imsouane town is also known for its small port where vendors and locals can buy fresh fish straight from the sea.

MARRAKECH
One day trip to Marrakech city which is possibly the second most important of Morocco's four former imperial cities after Fez. The city is rich in history, it has been inhabited by Berber farmers since Neolithic times, but the actual city was founded in 1062. Transportation, city walks, visit to a traditional souk, palaces and most famous mosques and a delicious lunch is included to the price.

ESSAOUIRA
One day trip to the beautiful Essaouira which means "the little rampart", a reference to the fortress walls that still enclose part of the city. It’s also called as “the city of wind”. The amazing Medina of Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage listed city, full of historical buildings, architecture, great cafeterias and local restaurants.

PARADISE VALLEY
Half day trip to the wonderful Paradise Valley, a section of the Tamraght River valley in the Moroccan High Atlas mountains. It is an oasis with fresh natural pools surrounded by palm trees and amazing mountains. The visit is perfect for sunbathing, chilling, and the highlight, if you are brave enough, cliff jumping.

Ways to get to the camp

Shuttle - We offer service from Agadir - Al Massira Agadir Airoport.

Bus - Take the bus 32 or 33 from Agadir to the direction of Taghazout and take off at Tamraght Mosque bus stop.

Car - From Agadir to the direction to Tamraght. The Lodge is beside the road right after Aourir. We have a closed parking area too.
