ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

El Palmar is a local, friendly, beachside village, often referred to as the surf capital of Andalucia.

Located 12km west of Vejer, and with Africa visible on the southern horizon, this is a place where the Mediterranean and Arabic cultures meet.

The village is lined with bars and restaurants, full of live music, delicious local cuisine and stunning Andalusian culture.

The Mambo Beach House is a 5 minute walk to the main bars and restaurants (a walk which you can do along the pristine, golden beach). The region boasts a huge range of water activities, including surfing, kite boarding, windsurfing, and fishing. Inland, you can experience the stunning scenery of local National Parks, hire a mountain bike, try horse-riding, or explore hiking, canyoning, and rock climbing, nearby. If you’re seeking a more relaxed, tranquil holiday, we can also provide yoga and massage.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

The Mambo Beach House operates as a hostel, surf camp with double and private rooms, and is also available to hire as a venue for large groups or families, events and weddings.The house comfortably sleeps 8 people, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The large shared indoor and outdoor living spaces are filled with musical instruments, lounge chairs, bookshelves, mattresses to lie in the sunshine, international art, an indoor fireplace, and an outdoor authentic Moroccan oven! We also have a fully functional, spacious kitchen area, where many people can prepare delicious food, all at once.

The house operates as a surf camp hostel, from September – June.

Venue Accommodation

The Mambo Beach House is available to hire as an entire house – the perfect option if you have a large group or event.

We prefer to rent by the week for whole house rentals normally Saturday to Saturday but with some flexibility for off season and events. Prices on application. Mambo beach House sleeps 8 comfortably and is well equipped for adults and children alike, with a generous library of books and films, with a 4G WiFi.

The kitchen has most mod cons including dishwasher, washing machine and two fridges, and the spacious terrace has chill out areas, and a full Moroccan Oven and Barbecue. Four bedrooms, two with one double bed, and two with two single beds that can be put together. Two bathrooms, one with bidet and shower, one with bath and shower. The sitting room is very spacious with a large sofa, dining area and a fireplace.

The house is less than 50 metres from the beach out front and there is ample parking outside.

Mambo Beach Sea View Apartment
The Mambo apartment has some availability left this summer and is the ideal hideaway for a week for two and a stones throw from the beach. Very well equipped and even has a roof terrace. (Children are not permitted nor pets) Details and prices on request. 

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Our experienced, local surf instructors are on hand to provide private or group surf lessons. We cater to all surf abilities, and have a range of surfboards and wetsuits for hire.

We still have the most competitive board rental rates and some of the best classes in the zone.

We have a range of foam boards, NSP’s, long boards and other so if you want a quote contact us with the dates number of people, ages or what levels.

Yoga
If you’re seeking a more relaxed, tranquil holiday, we can also provide yoga and massage.
