ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

The surf spot is the safest, thanks to the side-on wind, chopping and gusty, not always ideal conditions for beginners, but right here you will begin to learn how to surf in the waves, kite loops, and other figures and techniques.

During the week, various evening activities: cocktails, BBQ, Pizza "All you can eat"!

100 Piedi Kite School, Lda was born in December 2013, but the official opening took place in Santa Maria on the 8th November 2014 with the inauguration of the boutique school in Amilcar Cabral street, next to Relax Restaurant. Kitesurfing is a sailing sport, an evolution or a variant of surfing that consists of being towed by a kite that uses wind as a propeller. There are various disciplines and different styles (like Freestyle or Wavestyle) ... come and try them with us! During the course you will be equipped with a helmet with a radio with which you will always be followed and monitored by Elvis Nunes. Elvis started windsurfing at the age of 14, he reached a very high level in 2006, but then decided to go to the kitesurfing, because it's easier to learn and more fun. After working for a lot of schools in Sal (including Club mistral, surf zones and as a manager at the School of Mitu and Djo for 6 years) decided to try his way and plunge with his girlfriend in a new adventure: the 100 feet Kite School.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Private lesson, Group lesson, Advanced lessons & Kite camp. Advanced course for expert riders: 8 days / 7 nights accommodation in double room with full board package, breakfasts / lunches / dinners in the various local restaurants of Santa Maria, transfers to / from the airport and to the spot throughout the week, 6 hours of clinic with Elvis, Storage included, IKO certification, happy hour c / o 100 Feet and a downwind at the end of the course. Max 8 pax. Excluding flights and insurance Required Level: knowing how to navigate Upwind.

During the course you will be equipped with a helmet with a radio with which you will always be followed and monitored by Elvis. The rental will be provide only for experienced riders; it will not be possible to rent gear to those who are still learning. That is why the first hour of the rental you will be supervised by our instructor to check your level. For the rental prepayment is required, optional insurance and a document. In case of material damage with insurance included, no payment of damages will be required. In case of damage without insurance at the beginning of rental - you will be asked the payment of the total damage.

Characterization of surroundings/region

The spot is one of the best kite spots in the world. Our kite school is located directely at the beach in Santa Maria. The locals are very open for tourists. Helpful language skills are French, Portugues and English.

Ways to get to the camp

You`ll get to Isla do Sal by plane. There are public transports which bring you to Santa Maria.
