ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

With over 280 days of wind over 4 Beaufort a year, an amazing range of conditions, suitable for beginners to advanced and warm water all year round Dahab is undoubtably the best place to windsurf in Egypt. The apartments are 3 minutes walk from the windsurfing lagoon and sandy beach.

Kitesurfing and windsurfing will take place at a German owned centre with excellent equipment, rescue service and good facilities. Very nice staff and instructors to help you make the most of your holiday.

The lessons will take place in the lagoon. Located to the right of the centre is the windsurf lagoon. The kite lagoon is to the left where you will find shallow flat water tidal lagoon (500 meters per 300 meters). The area has perfect learning conditions for beginners as the instructor can stand next to you. Lessons are planned around the tides and wind, as the kite lagoon has very little water at low tide.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

This bright and airy one bedroom apartment sleeps two to three people. The apartment includes a king-sized bed (160 centimeters wide) and a sofa with continental comfort pillows, mattress toppers, and Egyptian cotton sheets and towels. It is newly furnished with large en-suite luxury bathroom with spa bath, separate shower, and WC.

The apartment has quiet air conditioning, a beautiful south-facing sunny terrace overlooking the lush grassy garden, complimentary Wi-Fi, and the Jacuzzi pool view. There is outdoor furniture and barbecue facilities. It also has a black granite topped kitchen with fridge / freezer, toaster, kettle, Lavazza espresso machine, cooking utensils, two hobs (ceramic), a microwave oven, and a dining table.

The Octopus Apartment

This spacious two-bedroom apartment sleeps four people comfortably. The master bedroom has a large king-sized bed (160 centimeters wide) plus there is a separate twin bedroom with direct access to the garden. Both rooms have continental comfort pillows, mattress toppers, and Egyptian cotton sheets and towels.

The apartment has quiet air conditioning in both bedrooms. It has a private sunny terrace with outdoor patio furniture, complimentary Wi-Fi, large secluded garden with access to the Jacuzzi pool, barbecue facilities, and a separate kitchen with large fridge / freezer, toaster, kettle, Lavazza espresso machine, cooking utensils, a microwave oven and two hobs.

Tea towels and washing up liquid are also provided. Please note the kitchen is reached via the master bedroom. The bathroom is interconnecting with a waterfall shower and WC.

Self-catering apartments with your own kitchen provided. There is a supermarket, vegetable shop and ATM opposite so stocking up is easy. A few restaurants offer home delivery too.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Windsurfing Beginner / Advanced Beginner lessons are €190 for 8 hours (2 hours per day) including equipment.
Windsurfing Improver / Advanced courses €180 for 8 hours (1.5 hours per day) excluding equipment.

Kitesurfing beginner course is €340 for 8 hours (2 hours per day) including equipment.
Additional lessons for intermediate or advanced kiters can be added for €85 each session (2 hrs).

MORE INFO, HOW TO GET THERE & FAQ

A perfect safe area for beginners and intermediate windsurfers due to the protection from the sandspit downwind. There is also a shallow sandbar for resting on and getting tips if you are having lessons.

Area 2 - "Speedy"

Amazing flat turquosie water, contsant strong winds and plenty of space to practise your moves or just blast backwards and forwards. Area 2 is also home to the famous "Baby Bay" where freestylers revel in the flat water. Kitesurfers can kite downwind of the windsurfers.

Area 3 - "Kamikaze"

Also know as the wave area, located just on the other side of Napoleon Reef, draws the advanced windsurfers out for some big air, and playing in the swell. After a few days of stronger winds you can get some epic conditions! Advanced kiters sometimes head out here.

Ways to get to the camp

Sharm el Sheik is the main airport 90kms away. A taxi transfer is €40 each way and can be organised by us so the driver knows the apartment location.

Important details

A negative PCR test is required to enter Egypt. Visa's are $25 if you wish to visit Cairo or Luxor.
