Located in a National Marine Park, Spot X provides a unique opportunity to spend time in one of Australia's most beautiful coastal areas. Long days in the sun and waves, leading to memorable nights around the campfire, Spot X is truly a place you don't want to miss. Great food, awesome staff and comfortable, clean accommodation.

More than a decade ago two Aussie surfers, Nat and Dan were sitting around the camp fire having a drink and talking about their dreams! They thought that life was too short not to be ‘Livin the Dream’.
Their dream was to share their passion for fun times, adventure and surfing with people from all over the world in some of the most beautiful and remote beaches on the planet. Mojosurf was born!

Mojosurf focus on 5 key areas to have you up and surfing with confidence and style. With years of experience Mojosurf have developed superior instructional techniques to assist all levels of surfers from beginner to advanced.
Instructors: Fully qualified instructors with level one beginner and level two advanced coaching qualifications to ensure you surf at your best. Our instructors are in the water with you assisting every step of the way. Mojosurf also use photo and video analysis to help you see where your surfing is at.
Locations: We only surf on the best beaches to suit your ability. As we are mobile we can be flexible to customise the trip to get the best surf.
Equipment: Anybody can surf. With a wide range of current boards and wetsuits, we can ensure that you get the best equipment to assist your surfing journey.
Safety: Surf safety and ocean awareness is our highest priority which our instructors will ensure you become well trained in.
Fun: The best surfer in the world is the one having the most fun. Having a good time all-round is the cornerstone to the success of our surf schools. You will be having a blast in no time.

Somewhere north of Coffs Harbour and south of Byron Bay is our secret surf camp Spot X. A place totally devoted to the surf lifestyle. Located in a National Marine Park, Spot X provides a unique opportunity to spend time in one of Australia's most beautiful coastal areas.
Seasonal conditions
Spot X sea temperatures peak in the range 24 to 27°C (75 to 81°F) on around the 5th of February and are at their lowest on about the 16th of August, in the range 18 to 21°C (64 to 70°F). Year round warm sea temperatures at Spot Xclimb to their highest at the beginning of February. Even then a rash vest and board shorts should be fine for surfing at any time of year. The lowest Spot Xsea temperatures in the middle of August require something like a 3/2mm fully sealed wetsuit.
Spot X has a mild temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters. Winters are not cold with daily maximums usually reaching a pleasant 19.4 ºC and a minimum of 11 ºC. Summer can be hot, with a daily average of 27 ºC. Summer evenings can be wet, cooling the day down making for a comfortable overnight temperature.

Byron Bay's natural credentials are impeccable as humpback whales cruise past the headland, storms create rainbows on the mountains across the bay, hang-gliders ride the thermals above the lighthouse. Australia's most easterly point casts a spell over everyone who goes there.
Over the past two decades, Byron Bay has become an escape for urban refugees, and especially those with artistic inclinations. Architects, designers, craftworkers and software engineers have set up shop, grafting their talents and energy on to this small, relaxed coastal village. Today Byron Bay is a chic seaside town with glorious beaches, a New Age tinge and loads of style. Nearby Brunswick Heads, Lennox Headand Ballina are well worth a visit.
