Pleasure is on the way to being pros, not the fact that we are - The Destination is the Journey. We want to show you how much fun it is to surf, without the pressure of afterwards. Being very good at surfing will be a consequence of having a lot of fun doing it.
We love to infect the people around us with this energy that Surf brings us. Our purpose is to teach you and train you the techniques to achieve your WAY2SURF.

The School was founded by Mário Andrade and João Grilo.

Mário clung to the board in 2010, after a decade clinging to his suit and tie. He left his career to live at a less frantic pace but did not leave behind rigor and some formalisms. He calls himself the best at washing clothes, and there is really no grain of sand that can stand up to tell the story. There is always something to point out - the board is full of sand, the leash is not closed, the fact extends better ... Anyway, the terror of the coaches.

João is a local. He was born at the foot of the beach, in Caparica, and from an early age he had a great passion for outdoor activities. Surfing started as a way to spend energy, but it didn't take long to realize that it was much more than a hobby but something that was part of his life. Founding W2S, together with Mário, was the way he managed to be happy 7 days a week. So you can always find him with a smile on his face.

Our School offers Private Lessons, Group Lessons, Advanced Lessons, Children Lessons and Corporate Lessons throughout the year, in Costa da Caparica ( link to live cam ) . We think that Costa is a new California unknown to this old continent. But we are suspicious. In summer, we also do Surf Camps and in Winter Surf Trips. Whatever level you are on, you can be sure that your evolution and autonomy are our priorities.

PACKAGE Group lessons - from 30€ per lesson/ Person

---

Beginner classes: Price for one lesson €30
Classes last for 2 hours. During this time our instructors will: look for the best surfboard and suit for you; explain the security rules to you; teach you the basic technical movements of surfing while still on the sand while doing the essential warm-up before entering the water, and then, board in hand and play surfing!

Intermediate classes: Price for one lesson €30
Classes for Intermediate students are for you if you have mastered the changes of direction of the board and if you already surf a perfect foam up to the sand.

We will practice specific exercises with you that will help you to loosen your body and your movements and therefore the maneuvers will flow more easily. We are going to start catching waves on the outside, and for that reason train the paddle, both for the outside and the technique to enter the wave with a good positioning and, even more fun, teach you how to go down the wave wall.

Advanced classes: Price for one lesson €40
The starting point will be your current level. We need to know what you know how to do, what you can improve and why you feel stuck in your surfing to set goals. We use the video analysis tool to, together with you, observe in detail your technical gesture, position on the wave, and timing of execution of maneuvers.

We will also define, based on sea conditions and your level, the most suitable beach for training. Our objective with the filming of all sessions is to enhance and maximize your evolution throughout the sessions. At this level, surfing is very technical, but the difference now is in letting your style flow.

PACKAGE Private lesson - from 50€ per lesson/ Person

If you want a class with a 100% dedicated coach to do a detailed analysis of your surfing, Private Lessons are your best choice. Whatever level you are on - whether it's your first surf lesson, or if you don't even remember your first surf lesson - a coach will be at your side to help and motivate you to meet your goals.
If you feel more comfortable and safe when having someone with your eyes on you during the whole class, you can count on the attention and experience of our coaches.

PACKAGE Mini vacation camp - from 135€ per Week / Person

We have prepared a week of Leisure Activities (ATL) for children and young people from 6 to 18 years old. A vacation spent on the beach that is guaranteed to spend all the energy accumulated by the youngest. With surf lessons twice a day, serious beach racquet disputes, petanque competitions, soccer games, card games with cheating and, if you still have time, many other friendly group games.

Activities for future surfers start at 9 am, where attentive, available and willing coaches are waiting for them, with over 10 years of experience in teaching surfing to children. Your top priority is safety both in and out of the water.

To end the week in a big way, the coaches will take the young people to visit the Board Factory and Skate Parque da Sobreda. You will understand how the manufacture of a surfboard works, and even take home some cool skate maneuvers.
