Depending on the season you will come, The Peruvian Northshore receive both north and south swells, which allow a huge variety of spots to and conditions. Here is a non exhaustive list of spots where you may ride, from the famous Lobitos long perfect wave to Cabo Blanco barrels, or beginners and relaxed, virgen spots or not: El Ñuro, el Golf, el Muelle, baterías, Negritos, Punta Balcones, Lobitos, Piscinas, Peña redonda, La Cruz, Caleta Grau, La Frontera, Cabo Blanco, Panic Point. Etc.

From the most affordable Posada to the 4-star boutique hotel, our gorgeous Eco Surf Camp, or a lovely rental property with a chef, anything is possible here.

ECO KITE-CAMP BOUTIQUE:
is where everything started, where I fell in love with the place 15 years ago. La Maison (The House in French, and home of a good friend) is the perfect base camp for our friend’s kitesurfing guests! La Maison is a tranquil 7-room habitat next door to the local palm grove, a hidden oasis within a local neighborhood of Máncora. You are within a 5-minute walk from the primary kite-and-surf spot, as well as all the local cuisine and activities, just outside the bustling center of Máncora.  Healthy breakfast, daily cleaning services, and Wi-Fi are included for everyone. 

LAS POCITAS:
a paradisiacal beach 15 minutes by moto taxi from the heart of Máncora, is the home of our newest club. The four-story concrete building that is situated directly on the beach was covered by the owner, a French architect (and a waterman friend), who mostly used wood, stones, and native plants. The building’s large, open spaces that look out over the ocean give visitors the feeling that they are living aboard a cruise ship. Every Friday, a delicious restaurant-bar on the upper level hosts live performances or activities that give the space a lively atmosphere. We offer kitesurfing guests a special rate

THE PERFECT BALANCE:
 What once was a beautiful private house was transformed into this breathtaking hotel-boutique, situated on the most gorgeous beach on Peru’s northern shores. The business’s owner, Cristina, a self-taught interior designer who has lived in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and other countries, wanted to create a space with the motto—and what any visitor should feel—the Perfect Balance. You will undoubtedly discover this balance and depart transformed thanks to the bungalows made of natural materials, the Japanese-inspired garden, the superb yoga studio that overlooks out onto the ocean, and the two exquisite dining options (the vegetarian restaurant and the fish bar)

Every morning, you can surf in front of your hotel, go on a early trip with us, do yoga, or just relax… followed by a delicious healthy meal. In the afternoon re-surf, re-relax. SURF CONDITIONS

---

The wind is blowing almost every day during the whole season – April to December – your main concern will be the waves. During most of the wind season (Austral Winter) in Peru, we receive South and South-West ground swells traveling a long way from the Patagonia seas in the South Pacific, enjoying great periods up to 22 seconds!

(WIND SWELL VS GROUND SWELL)
For those who don’t know the difference between Ground swells and Wind swells, they are the same as they are both created by the wind blowing above the Ocean. However, ground swells travel bigger distances, which affect the wave’s energy (and tidiness). When swells have intervals of 10 to 20 seconds (the period between each wave – the higher the greater energy), we talk about the ground swell.)

SWELL STATISTICS IN PERU Wave statistics show that May-June-July and October-November are the best months in terms of swells. The wind is usually stronger starting in August. However, over the years I have found that there is no best pattern, we have magic sessions throughout the whole season! I personally particularly like April – May – June (water is still quite warm and also maybe because it is the beginning of the season too ). It is also the high season (crowds-wise) in Pacasmayo.

The Peruvian north shore offers the best combo for wind & waves and rarely are there no waves at all, and this situation would do not tend to last more than 3 days. Obviously like any surf trip: you always rely on a bit of luck…
