Our center offers kitesurfing and windsurfing courses for beginners and advanced, giving lovers of these sports the opportunity to start or perfect themselves. You will be assisted by experienced and qualified instructors, using FIV (Italian Sailing Federation) and VDWS (Verband Deutscher Wassersportschulen). In the bay of Vignola we usually find perfect conditions for beginners in the morning and late afternoon. During the central hours of the day the thermal wind rises, allowing experts to show off their skills. In our spot you will find good conditions with west and mistral winds (slightly gusty) and perfect conditions with grecale, east and sirocco winds, which arrive in Vignola sideshore from the right and are generally stronger than in other spots in the area. Sometimes challenging with strong mistral, with shorebreak and waves breaking about 150 m from the beach, around the rock (called "Turtle"). It is considered the best spot in the whole area with east, north-east and south-east wind, because in the Bay of Vignola the wind is reinforced from the east with short wave up to 1. 5 meters from the right. Camping Village Baia Blu La Tortuga is located in Gallura, a region between Santa Teresa di Gallura and Aglientu. Thanks to its location, the Camping Village is easy to reach from the ports of Olbia, Golfo Aranci and Porto Torres.
A holiday in this resort, immersed in nature, in the shadow of the pine trees and with direct beach access, offers a spectacle of colours and contrasts which is typical of North Sardinia.
The campsite area offers spacious pitches, while the holiday village area has comfortable furnished mobile homes equipped with kitchenette, satellite TV and air conditioning. The Camping Village has a restaurant, where you can sample traditional Sardinian dishes, a self-service restaurant, 2 café-bars, a supermarket and a shop. SURF COURSE DETAILS

---

Kitesurfing
We offer courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced students in Italian, English and German. The courses take place everyday, both in the morning and in the afternoon, individually or in a group. All the equipment is included: board, kite, shorty-wetsuit, life jacket, harness, helmet and boat assistance. Blue Zone Sardinia is an RRD test center.

BEGINNERS
The course includes lessons on the land (theory and practice)and in the water. The student will learn how to set up a trainer kite, he will know safe wind directions and conditions for kiting and the hazards on a spot, he will know the use of safety systems, he will have basic flying skills with trainer kite (a smaller kite) and later on a proper kite, he will launch and land the kite and he will control the kite hooked into the harness.

INTERMEDIATE
The student will learn how to enter and exit the water independently and safely while controlling the kite, how to water re-launch the kite, how to do a body drag (where you use only the kite, not the board) downwind and upwind, how to put the board on the feet and maintain the correct position for water start and finally how to manage water starts in both directions and ride a short distance.

ADVANCED
The student will learn how to ride in all directions consistently (including upwind), how to change the direction without stopping, he will know the theory and the safety rules for jumping and he will land a basic jump. It is up to our instructors to decide whether a lesson is doable or not, depending on the weather conditions.

Windsurfing
We offer courses for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. The courses take place every day, both in the morning and in the afternoon, individually or in groups. All the equipment is included: board, sail, shorty-wetsuit, life jacket, harness and boat assistance.

BEGINNERS
The first lesson consists of a theory part on the beach, while using the simulator, where all the safety rules, the knowledge of the wind and tides will be explained; the student will also learn how the proper position of the body on the board. After that, he will practice in the water, to get familiar with all the equipment. During the basic course, the student will learn how to manage the sail and rigging techniques departure, basic tack and navigation gaits. The aim of the course is to put the student in a position to be able to windsurf independently.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED
The student will be taught more advanced techniques, such as: fast tack, fast jibe, water start, using the harness, using the straps, using the board without centerboard, glide (with different wind conditions), power jibe. It is up to our instructors to decide whether a lesson is doable or not, depending on the weather conditions.

Ways to get to the camp

BY PLANE

Both the airports in North Sardinia are a convenient starting point to reach our Camping Village. From Olbia airport, which is about 70 km., travelling by car or by bus, you can reach your destination in about 1 hour. Those arriving in Alghero can reach our campsite taking the highway to Sassari, then following the direction to Castelsardo, Santa Teresa di Gallura till reaching Vignola Mare.

BY FERRY

The main shipping companies connect Olbia, Golfo Aranci and Porto Torres in Sardinia to Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Napoli. By car, it takes about one hour to reach the resort from all the ports. If you get to Olbia, drive along the highway to Vignola Mare; from Golfo Aranci, reach first Arzachena and then continue to Vignola.
From Porto Torres, drive along the coastal road to Platamona – Castelsardo – Valledoria and reach Vignola.
For those who want to get to Sardinia through Corsica, there are ferry connections from Nizza, La Spezia, Genova and Livorno via Bastia-Bonifacio. Once arrived in Santa teresa di Gallura, follow the highway to Vignola Mare.

KITESURF BASIC COURSE

The course takes 6 hours, each lesson is 2 hour long.

The basic course can take 2, 4 or 6 hours. Each lesson is 2 hour long.
