Ekas is a small sea-side rural village, where the sounds of the ocean, indigenous animals and birds set the ambiance daily. Our village is situated in a tropical paradise, spoilt with exquisite white sand beaches, lush tropical greenery, warm crystal clear turquoise sea and variety of world class waves. Conveniently located only a one-hour scenic drive from Lombok International Airport ensures you are far enough away to escape the crowds. Due to Ekas Surf Resort & Surf Camps unique position good waves can be enjoyed everyday with offshore wind throughout the year ensuring you the best surf holiday.

Due to our awesome location only 2 minutes to the beach and waves our whole team from owners, managers and staff all surf and we are stoked to share our knowledge and passion. Share amazing times filled with great waves, exciting experiences in a relaxed tranquil environment and Ekas Surf Resort welcomes all ages. We prefer small groups maximum four people per one week surf camp, which ensures genuine personal attention from our english speaking instructors.

Our surf camp is owner run and managed by surfers for surfers. Our team consists of both international and local instructors and have over 40 years of surfing and teaching experience between them. Many of our team have competed at the highest levels and bring with them a wealth of experience of both free surfing and competing.

Ekas Surf Resort consists of seven spacious contempory and beautifully decorated twin rooms, double bedrooms and large family/group rooms complimented with authentic Lombok features. We take pride in providing you with clean, safe and comfortable accommodation and with comfort being essential to your stay, each uniquely decorated room has its own private entrance, air conditioner, mini bar, television, safe and a beautiful western style bathroom with hot and cold water and essentials provided. Wi Fi can be accessed in all bedrooms and throughout the resort.

Our famous Restaurant offers a diverse but eclectic fusion of Western and Indonesian dishes using only the freshest locally sourced organic ingredients seasonably available. We strive at being a sustainble restuarant using fruits and vegetables grown around our village. Our qualified chefs use a selection of imported meats and locally sourced seafood bought from our local fishermen in Ekas Bay, to ensure the best quality meals are served to our guests.

Our super awesome surfers breakfast is served from 7am-10am and is a great way to start your day with a delicious cup of Lombok coffee made from freshly ground  beans, or enjoy a super healthy smoothie. Breakfast consists of all your favorites and some surprises. From freshly baked bread to fresh fruits, pancakes and for the hungry a yummy full English breakfast.

Join us for 6 Nights & 7 Days for the ultimate surfing adventure filled with surfing, relaxation, personal exploration and social activities to fit your needs, whilst creating a memorable experience capturing the essence of Lombok while prioritising your surfing adventure.

We utilise 1 instructor per 2 students with maximum 4 students per camp. In accordance with your surfing skills, you will receive professional coaching and become a better surfer. Our expert instructors will join you in the water, offering personalised advice and real-time feedback on your technique. Their careful guidance will help you avoid common intermediate pitfalls and fast-track your progression to the advanced level. We have a huge selection of surfboards available which is essential as this gives intermediate surfers the opportunity to try out a variety of boards and experiment with different surfing styles and techniques, which further enhances your adaptability and progression.

SURF MATERIALS

For the duration of the couse, Ekas Surf Resort & Surf Camp offers participants a wide variety of Surf boards, ranging from Soft Tops, Hard Shortboard, Mid-Lengths, Minimals & SUPs. rash vests, wax, leases and fins are also provided. Participants need to consider bringing personal materials such as costumes, suncream, Booties, surf hats etc, however we have a well stocked onsite surf shop with all necessary surf accessories and gear.

SURF CONDITIONS

---

Ekas Beach Break
This beautiful bay is the perfect beach for our surf lessons and for beginners. An easy paddle out over a calm lagoon brings you to gentle right breaking waves of 1-3ft max, that peel away for ever & ever. It is a very safe beach being only 1-1.5m deep, so you are only at waist depth at any given time. This beach break works best on low to medium tide

Ekas Inside
Ekas Inside is a great wave for the intermediate – advanced surfer. Perfect for shortboards, mini mals, longboards, SUP’S and Bodyboarders. REMEMBER: free unlimited boat rides available for our guests to go surf Ekas Inside as many times you want whenever you want.
Inside Ekas has an amazing A- frame set up and generally has swell all year round. However, the waves are cooking & cranking from April until early November. Beautiful waves from 2-5 ft can be expected most days. However, when the swell arrives from the SSW-WSW direction, anything from 6-12ft can be experienced. On a low-mid tide, Ekas Inside runs for 150m both right & left. Once you make the gentle take off, a huge high-performance wave section presents itself, through to a barrelling section on the Inside. High tide Ekas inside has a beautiful left breaking wave running for 150m into the channel. An easy take off and a beautiful wave face opens up on small days but on bigger days 6ft + there is an awesome barrelling section to pull into or to simply smash, followed by an awesome tail section that runs into the channel.

Ekas Outside
Ekas Outside is a powerful long & hollow wave that breaks 3 - 8 foot left under a cliff face.  This wave offers an intermediate to experienced surfer the wave of a lifetime.  Expect a left hand wave with a steep drop in with solid sections on the wave and long wall giving multiple sections to smash.  Best on mid to high tide.

Southern Reef
Southern reef is a right-hand breaking high performance wave that offers lots of rippable sections and an awesome barrelling section that holds good swell. Generally, it breaks at 2-5ft and is an easy paddle out and paddle in. This wave is best on a medium to high tide.

Dagong
This is the perfect combination of a high performance and fun left-hand wave all in one. This wave can only be accessed by boat as it is to far to paddle from the beach. The take off offers a round barrel however you can sit further down the line and take off on a playful green wave face.

LOMBOK BY AIR
Lombok receives direct International fFights from quite a few countries now and there are many more which will be added over the next few years. Currently direct flights via Singapore & Kuala Lumpur are available.
Flying to Lombok internally, there are direct flights to Lombok from Bali, Jakarta, Jogja and Surabaya, so please consider Lion Air, Wing Air, Batik Air, Citilink, Garuda & Super Air Jet. Flight time is aprox 30min. 
Whilst all airlines do their utmost to stay on schedule, there are times when they don’t, so when you plan & book try and give yourself plenty of time between flights. (LOP) Lombok International Airport is a gentle 1-hour from Ekas Surf Resort.

LOMBOK BY SEA
Pandang Bai Harbour in Bali provides Fast Ferries to Bangsal Harbour or Sengiggi Harbour in Lombok with a crossing time of about 2.5 hours.  You can also travel on the slow ferry from Padang Bai to Lembar Harbour Lombok with a crossing time of about 5 hours.
