Surfing is not a sport, it is a lifestyle. Our 7 day Surf Camp package will show you that ... we promise. This is "More than a Surf Camp".
Your surf instructors will be your guides during the week. They will take you to amazing beaches, introduce you to the locals and local hangouts, take you to beautiful waterfalls and lookouts, and show you a party or two if you ask. Our goal is to give you the best week of your life and we are pretty sure you will enjoy it.
We take great care of everything to make you feel at home (or better) and we make sure that your time out of the water is as good as the time we spend in it.

ABOUT THE SURF CAMP
LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
Grip surf house is located on the Corubedo peninsula, it is possible to surf less than 10 minutes 340 days a year, we have the possibility of surfing with all the winds and swells, our beach where the base of the surf school is located is called Playa da Ladeira but we usually go to Playa do Vilar and Playa as Furnas.
The furthest beach is 10 minutes away by car and we have 3 beaches less than 5 minutes away on foot.
CAMP CHARACTER
The camps are usually young people from 20 years to 45, people from all over Europe wanting to enjoy little crowded beaches and good waves.
CAMP OPERATOR
The camp was created by Alex Sebastian, he was the European bodyboard champion in 2008 and several times in Spanish championships, after creating the Grip Surf School in 2015 in 2021 we opened the Grip Surf House with great enthusiasm to teach and share our way of life with all campers.
ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING
ACCOMMODATION TYPES
We have 8 rooms , doble , 4 people room and 6 people room. Some rooms have sea views with terrace. You can have your breakfast looking amazing sunrise on top of the beach.
We have a fully equipped kitchen, a big sitting room with big TV where we will do the surf coach video correction.
We have 3 bathrooms, one for each floor.
The capacity of the house is 24 people.
CATERING
A wonderful breakfast is included to fill us with energy to surf good waves. Also you can use the kitchen anytime.
In the town of Corrubedo you have 2 small supermarket, 4 bars in the port with typical Galician food.
SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS
For us the values of the surf courses are safety, fun and learning, so we separate the groups by levels in a maximum of 6 users per monitor. The duration of the classes is 2 hours and then we take a break to eat something and come back another hour. We always look for the best conditions so we move to different beaches. One day a week we record the classes to later correct errors and improve more quickly.
SURF MATERIALS
We have all the necessary surf equipment, from 9 foot initiation boards to 5.10 performance boards, likewise the wetsuits are 4/3 mm in excellent condition to be able to withstand the session very well.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
There is the possibility of hiring yoga classes, relaxing massages, visits to a wine cellar or even booking to eat typical Galician food in a good restaurant.
It is possible to rent surf equipment, visit secret spots such as waterfalls or viewpoints.

SURF CONDITIONS
Breaks directly at the main spot and at nearby spots
The beaches where we will surf are beach breaks and are less than 10 minutes away by car.
Seasonal conditions
The best session to surf this area is from May to October, the water temperature varies from 17 degrees to 21 degrees and thanks to the Corubedo peninsula you can surf every day of the week.
The ambient temperature in spring and summer varies from 15 degrees to 30 degrees, it is always advisable to wear a sweatshirt at night.
Crowd factor and local people
The local surfers are very respectful as long as the unwritten rules of surfing are respected, that will be part of our teaching where we will teach how to enter the water, how to respect the locals and how to be able to share the bathrooms with them without having any problem.
SURROUNDINGS / REGION
Characterization of surroundings/region
Corrubedo is located 50 minutes from Santiago de Compostela, it is a beautiful city to visit the old town and its cathedral. It also has an airport with very good connections to all of Europe.
Everyone speaks Spanish and also the local language, which is Galician, the people are very nice and close.
It is advisable to have the covid certificate or a 48-hour pcr.

The activities that you can do are walks through the mountains, walks along the beach, visit waterfalls, boat routes along the river, visit the dunes of Corrubedo, visit the forts of Baroña etc ...
JOURNEY
Ways to get to the camp
The best way to access the camp is to fly to Santiago de Compostela and then either rent a vehicle or hire a transfer with us.
Other nearby airports are A Coruña, Vigo or Porto.
Public transport is not recommended as it could take more than 3 hours.
