ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

Lanzarote is one of the seven canary islands in the Atlantic ocean. It is a small island, but has a high diversity of natural attractions. The secret of this beautiful island, is the mixture between the volcanoes, the high vegetation in the north of the island and the surrounding Atlantic, which sends the great waves to the coast.

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

Kaboti Surf offers a wide range of accomodation in Lanzarote, you can choose what you desire.

Surf camp:
The Surf Camp in Famara is perfect for who are traveling alone or with a group of friends and wish to meet new people, from all over the world. The surf house is located 50 meters from the beach, has 3 floors, with 4 rooms in total, maximum capacity of 10 persons. The rooms have 2 or 3 beds, the rest of the house has 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, a big terrace with BBQ area and hammocks with the best ocean view. Guest from different parts of this world come and enjoy the stay, looking for waves, sun, beach and a lot of fun!!

Apartments in Famara and Playa Blanca:
The apartments in Famara town are perfect for families, couples and groups who want more privacy. All apartments are located 10 minutes from the beach by foot. They are fully equipped, with a terrace, kitchen, bathroom and have 1 to 3 rooms.

Whoever wants to stay in the sunny south of Lanzarote, has the chance to rent an apartment in Playa Blanca. The apartment is located directly at the beach and is fully equipped. From the terrace you can enjoy the beautiful outlook at the ocean.

Bungalows:
In Caleta de Farma do we offer bungalows that take in from 2 to 6 persons. They are fully equipped and it just takes 2 minutes to walk to the beach. Whenever you want to go to the town, its a short walking distance within 10 minutes.

Villas:
Kaboti Surf offers in Playa Blanca several types of private villas with 2 of 3 rooms. They are fully equipped, have a swimming pool and a BBQ area. Within 3 minutes on foot you are at the beach.

Hotels:
The three star apartment-hotel in Playa Blanca has a swimming pool, a Spa area and is 10 minutes away from the beach.

The five star Hotel Pricesa Yaiza is family friendly and directly in front of the beach. It has a big swimming pool area, kids animation club and Thalasso Spa. It also offers different types of restaurents.

CATERING

The catering depends on the kind of accommodation you choose. It can be selfcatering but also full pansion.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

SURF COURSE DETAILS

We offer three differnt levels of courses - basic, intermediate and advanced - we try our best to provide a surf lesson suited to each individual's ability. With Kaboti Surf school you will learn to sur with real surfers who dedicated theis lifes to surfing.

Basic:
This surf course level contents the necessary concepts, with 80% practical surf lessons in the water. The surf course is for everyone who has never tried surfing or who has tried in the past or hasn't been without surfing for a long time. We will mainly explain: Introduction to security rules on Famara beach (where the surf lessons take place); surfing different parts of the beach; dealing safely with rips; conducts toward other surfers and locals in the water; introduction to the types of breaks (sand, reef and lava stone).

Intermediate:
-we assess your level of surfing
-teach advanced techniques: selection of waves and positioning yourself in the line up
-advanced take off: techniques and synchronization of paddling and standing up, making the best of the wave
-surfing-stance on the board, how to pull of the wave

The surf lessons are taking part in Famara and if possible in La Santa.

Lanzarote offers a huge variety of activities and adventures. Whoever wants to do an alternative activity apart from surfing, you can book one of our kite- or stand up paddle courses. As well, we can organize sailing trips, cycling- or hiking tours, yoga sessions and much more...

All around the coast you will find reaf- and beach breaks. Lanzarote is called the european Hawaii, caused to the high quality waves and the variety of surf spots. All year long you can go surfing.

Seasonal conditions
During the summer season, the waves will be smaller and are perfect to start leaning surfing. While winter time the temperatures vary between 22 and 25° C with a water temperature between 18 and 23° C. You won't miss the sunshine, because its even sunny in winter time. That's ideal to learn surfing and to have fun.

This package includes:

Kaboti Surf organises surfng trips around Lanzarote, so that you can enjoy the different spots at a time when they are working best relative to your ability. We will explain how each break works and surf along with you. Depending on your experiences and the conditions you will be able to surf spots such as the famous waves of La Santa, EL Golfo, San Juan or Los Lobos. We have a professional photographer who will take photos of you on your best waves all around Lanzarote!
