ABOUT THE SURF CAMP
LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
Buen Hombre has fantastic conditions thanks to its unique microclimate. The spot receives on average 7-9 knots more wind than Cabarete, and in June-September the wind averages between 20-30 knots or more. The wind usually starts blowing from noon and on average we are given between 6-8 kiteable hours per day!
Buen Hombre is lucky to also experience a much shorter rain season and even in the ‘rainy’ off-peak season of October and November, they still receive 4 days of wind per week. December through to April also provides excellent conditions with wind averaging between 18-25 knots.
CAMP CHARACTER
Our Kite Buen Hombre school and camp was founded in 2013. Getting to know the people of the village and living in Buen Hombre has made us love this place with its many stories. We are happy to share and welcome you here with us.

BUEN HOMBRE: Kite Camp right on the beach with bunglows just 5 meters from the sea. New kite lofts coming soon.
CABARETE: 5 min walking from the beach.
TROPICAL HOUSE: 3 rooms, 4 beds
4 Beautiful Design Lofts with fast internet & pool
In total we can accommodate up to 24 people.
SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS
Our kite school is located in Buen Hombre & Cabarete.
We have instructors and gear rental in both locations.
12 hours beginners course- Learning in Buen Hombre flat and shallow beach with daily more wind, you learn faster than in Cabarete.
Flexible learning - You can share the course between two locations to experience both conditions.
Strapless surfboard classes, Foil and Wing Foil- we have it all available, just ask and we make it happen!
OTHER ACTIVITIES
We have several amazing kite trips.
Paradise Island Trip- 14 km of kiting in the turquoise flats and jumping the mangroves
Playa Popa - 17 km of cool terrain with flats, mangroves, and beaches.
7 Islands Trip- a whole day of kiting between and around the perfect Caribbean islands.

The spot is one of the few non-commercial places left where you see local life and hardly any tourists. Buen Hombre is a sleepy fishing village where time has stopped and you can enjoy the Caribbean slow pace of life.
