The surf school is a place where surf enthusiasts can learn and improve their skills in a safe and fun way. To ensure our surf school is effective and beneficial to students, it adheres to certain fundamental principles.

We select a variety of surfing conditions to accommodate students of different skill levels. Waves suitable for beginners, as well as more advanced waves for experienced surfers, allow everyone to progress at their own pace.

Samuel has extensive experience in surfing. His own expertise as a surfer allows him to impart practical knowledge and provide valuable advice to his students.

We have a variety of boards suitable for different levels of surfers. Wider, more stable boards are suitable for beginners, while narrower, more responsive boards are better for advanced surfers. Using the right type of surfboard allows students to progress more quickly and safely.

Samuel holds French and international qualifications, including a state certificate and an ISA (International Surfing Association) certification. This ensures he has the teaching skills needed to effectively impart his knowledge to his students.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

2 hours including 1.5 hours of surfing, lessons and equipment included

We offer 2-hour group surf lessons (including equipment and walking time to the surf spot), where you can learn and progress in a friendly atmosphere. Our lessons are designed to suit all levels, whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your technique.

In our group lessons, surf equipment is included. You don’t need to worry about renting or buying your own board and wetsuit, as we provide everything you need to enjoy your surfing experience. We have a selection of boards suitable for different levels and surfing conditions, as well as wetsuits to keep you warm and comfortable in the water.

Off-season surf lessons: People often think they’ll be cold, but a wetsuit feels like a second skin. The surf school is equipped with 4.3mm winter wetsuits, which are ideal for surfing in colder temperatures. Coming to surf at Cap de l’Homy during the low season will give you a special experience as there are few people in the water.
Sunset and Sunrise surf sessions: In summer, surf lessons start at 8 a.m. and end at 10 p.m. There’s nothing more magical than surfing early in the morning or late in the evening when there are fewer people in the water and on the beach. Plus, surfing conditions are often better in the morning and evening. Sunset surf lessons are unforgettable moments; people always leave with a smile on their faces.

Sam, your surf instructor, will be at your side to guide you through the essential steps of surfing. He will teach you basic techniques, help you improve your balance and posture on the board, and teach you how to read the waves to choose the best surfing opportunities.

Our group lessons also offer an opportunity to socialize and share with other surf enthusiasts. You’ll be able to interact with other participants, share your experiences, and encourage each other’s progress. This creates a friendly and motivating atmosphere, where you can have fun while developing your surfing skills.

Private surf lessons offer several advantages

Private surf lessons are recommended for learning to surf offshore waves (blue waves). The instructor guides you and stays close to you in the waves.

This option is also suitable for a first surfing experience. With a private surf lesson, you benefit from individual attention and personalized instruction. The instructor is entirely dedicated to your learning and can focus on your specific needs, level, and surfing goals. This accelerates your progress and allows you to achieve results more quickly.
