Our language school is located in a quiet quarter in the beautiful city Anglet. Just a few steps from the beach, we offer the ideal conditions to combine your language stay with a surf course.

CAMP CHARACTER

We are a small school with a very personal and familiar character. Due to the limited number of students we can offer individual attention to all our students.

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

You can live with a French host family living in Anglet or in Biarritz. SOFI 64 carefully selects all the hosting families. They will welcome you as a family member and you will be given a private and comfortable bedroom. You will also be provided with breakfast and dinner during the week and all meals on weekends.

SOFI 64 can also book apartments or hotel rooms for you if you prefer.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

---

Every morning for 3 hours you visit the French school from 9.30h - 12.45h with a 15 minute break. The size of the classes is limited to a maximum of 8 students and the classes are arranged according to the level.

In the afternoon the surf lessons take place for 90 minutes. The times vary depending on the tide and are announced at the beginning of the week. The surf school is located close to our language school. There  surf instructors are qualified with a lot of experience. The size of the group is also limited to 8 participants.

Breaks directly at the main spot and at nearby spots

Just a few steps away from the school you can find the endless sandy beaches of Anglet. The beachbreaks offer perfect conditions for beginners and advanced surfers.

Seasonal conditions

Surfing is possible all year round with water temperatures falling to around 12 degrees in the winter months and rising to 23 degrees during the summer to the end of september. During the summer months the waves are often smaller and less powerful than in the winter and therefore perfect to start surfing. In the spring and autumn there are often perfect waves for advanced surfers but also as beginner you will find good waves.

Crowd factor and local people

Due to the length of the sandy beaches there is enough space for everyone and with an adequate behaviour there are no problems with local people. As tourism and especially surf tourism is an important branch of the region, the local people are open to international surf guests.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Our school is located in Angelt between the historic town of Bayonne and the ancient spa town of Biarritz in the beautiful basque region.

Activities 

The possibilities are unlimited. Whether hiking or biking in the pyrenees, visiting the historic Bayonne, city trips to San Sebastian or Bordeaux, golfing on one of the golf courses in the area or simply enjoying the culinary delights of the region, the danger of boredom does not exist.

Ways to get to the camp

Anglet can be easily reached by plane from the international airport in Biarritz. Alternatively you can arrive by train or car.

At the airport / train station you will be picked up by your host family.

FRENCH AND SURF  - from 938 €, 2 Weeks / Person

Groups count 8 students maximum (language and surf class) for a better individual attention. Our students come from all over the world and are aged of 18 year old and more. Each group corresponds to a level and students are placed following the test taken at their arrival.

Special program from April to October
Time: from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 12.45am with a 15 minute-break
Length : 2 weeks minimum
Levels : A1 – A2 – B1 – B2 – C1 – C2

This package includes:

- 20 lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes)
- daily surf lesson 1,5h (monday-friday)
- surfboard and wetsuit included during lesson
