ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

the windsurf spot is at the beach close to the camping, the conditions are perfect for beginners in the morning and for advanced in the afternoon (more wind). The spot is close to 2 bar and restaurants at the beach and close to the town (4 km ). the beach is 8 km long and never crowded. there is also the possibility to rent an umbrella.

the camp is ideal for family, the lessons are in small groups max 5 people. 

Maddalena is a windsurf and kitesurf instructor for 11 years and worked a lot of years in Silvaplana, Switzerland and at the Como Lake. Now, she is the owner of the school in Bari Sardo. In winter, she is a ski instructor and snowkiting instructor in St Moritz (and Silvaplana) Switzerland. She is also a personal training and graduated in physics. Before this, she worked in the research and in the hospitals in the radiation oncology department. Now, she'd like to see happy people discovering the beauty of doing a sport in contact with the wonderful nature in Sardinia! She loves this job.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

there is a large variety of accomodation: there is a luxury camping at the beach close to the school with a lot of offers: glamping, bungalows, possibility to go with tent or vans, or there is also the possibility to rent amn appartment at 5 min with the car from the windsurf spot. apartments that are at the beach.

at the camping it is possible to book also the dinner or lunch at the restaurant. the restaurant is one of the best in the area.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

the beginner course starts in the morning, there are frst a theory lesson and practicing on the land at the simulator to understand the movements that will be practice in the water. After this we all go into the water practicing how to ride! every day we will do 2 hours course and the first hour will alway be on the land at the simulator.

the boards will be beginner boards with high volume in order to be easear to get the balance. the sails are beginner dacron Sails with carbon masts so that the gear can be very light and ideal for beginners.

many other activities are possible in the area: for free it is possible to do beach volley, soccer, tennis and ping pong. On request SUP rental, canyoning, boat tours, canoa rental, salining tours, trekking, jeep and quad tours, ebike.

the windsurf spot is on a sany beach, very long about 8 km so very safe

Seasonal conditions

mai and june, september and october the wind is stronger in the afternoon but still low enaough in the morning for beginners. mai up to the middle of june the water is about 20 °C wetsuit need, june july and september water is about 25-28°C no wetsuit needed

the place is very quiet also in high season in august, never too crowded

Characterization of surroundings/region

the surrounding region, Ogliastra is worth to be seen: the most beautiful cost of Sardinia, to see by boat or to have trekking to see the Canyon gorropu and a lot of other places like waterfalls and holes. there is also a town to go shopping or the bigger city Cagliari worthful to sight see

sports possible in the region: all watersports, SUP, diving, trekking, canyoning, quad tours, sailing.

Ways to get to the camp

it is possible to arrive per airplan to the airport in Cagliari Elmas, and the best is to rent a car so you can use it to see all places nearby. or arrive with the ship in olbia with your car

the public transport is not so often and also the taxis are very expensive, the best is to have a car
