SURFinn Vieux Boucau is part of a family of 4 amazing SURFinns. The other 3 can be found along the Portugese coast in the towns Figueira da Foz, Caparica and Monte Clerigo (Algarve). In Vieux Boucau a small team of surf enthusiasts are running the house where cleanliness, good food and happy vibes are the main topics on their agenda.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

Is it your first experience with surfing, or do you want to brush up and improve your surf skills? We offer various lesson packages for surfing in France that will quickly help you advance. Choose the small package (3 lessons) as a refresher course or the medium package (5 lessons) if you want to surf a lot. Additionally, you can select your skill level so that you'll be grouped with others at your level. This way, you'll get the most out of your surf vacation, all from our surf B&B in South France.

All our lessons are given by certified instructors, and we only work with high-quality surf gear. It doesn't stop at the basics of surfing; you'll also learn everything about safety, the beach, currents, waves, and surf equipment.

SURF MATERIALS

Your stay at the SURFinn and surfing in France gets even better when you use the top-notch surf equipment. In our Board Room, there's a board for everyone, and we have wetsuits to protect you from the cold! We have soft tops in various sizes and shapes from the Belgian surf brand Softdogsurf, and for more intermediate surfers, we also have some hardtops from Torq. Wetsuits are included, and we have very good wetsuits from top brands Hurley and C-Skins. We have shorties for the warm months of your surf vacation and thick 4/3 wetsuits for the colder months, available in all possible sizes.

The surf gear is included during the surflesson, want to surf outside the lesson, then the surf equipment is optionally available for rent. In the high season, you rent by the week; in the low and mid-season, you choose the day you wish to rent the equipment.

When the waves aren't ideal for surfing in France, you'll never be bored at the SURFinn. Play ping pong, mini golf in the garden, or dive into the pool for a fun game of water volleyball. Want to check out the local skate park? Less than 400 meters from the B&B in South France, you'll find a super fun skate park for both beginners and advanced skaters!

In the garden of our B&B in South France, there's a large yoga deck under the trees. We offer optional yoga classes, a wonderful way to unwind from surfing in France, relax your body, and get your mind into the perfect vacation mode!

Seasonal conditions

While spring and fall offer larger swells perfect for more experienced surfers, there are always options available for beginners who want to do their first ever surflesson. During the summer months it is the other way around... the smaller swell make for perfect conditions for beginners and intermediates while on the right tides and swells the more experienced surfers will really find the best waves Europe has to offer.

Characterization of surroundings/region

The surf townes in 'Les Landes' can be described as the surf capital of Europe. Every little town on the coast is filled with the surf and beachlife, the place to be for surflovers who like good food, amazing beaches and the most beautiful sunsets. Not far from Vieux Boucau you will find the amazing city Biarritz and on an hour drive you will be eating the most amazing tapas in the Basque Country of Spain in the town San Sebastian or Zarautz.

From Netherlands and Belgium you can take a bus to the Surfhouse (only available during July and August) Biarritz Airport is a 30 minute drive Bordeaux Airport is a 1,5 hour drive

PACKAGES & PRICES

Prices vary from low to mid to high season.

In the low and mid seasons, we offer flexible arrival where you can choose when to arrive and depart. However, we do have a minimum stay requirement of 3 nights.

During the high season we operate on fixed weeks that run from Saturday to Saturday.

Surf packages available: surf lessons including equipment or equipment only.

Dinner package optional.
