ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

Taghazout Ocean View is a newly-built Surf and Yoga Camp located in the center of Taghazout, an old fishing village scattered along the Atlantic coast, famed for its endless sunshine and amazing waves all year round.

Our camp is only 3 mins walk distance from the beaches and has 9 comfortable rooms all with private bathrooms, chill-out zones, a well-equipped kitchen, yoga shala, all surf equipment.

On the roof-top, there are two wonderful terraces with spectacular sea views, a wonderful place to salute the sun, welcome each new dawn, and bow to the sunset beyond the Atlantic. We also have a fully-equipped yoga shala on the roof where you can have the opportunity to try our yoga classes to complement the daily surf sessions by stretching out your arms, lower backs, and shoulders.

Meanwhile, our team is here for all your needs and will give you all the advice you need in Taghazout, all you need to do is soak up the sunshine on the beach, enjoy catching waves at the best surfing spots, and relieve the stress with a yoga smile.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

Our clean, cozy, and Berber-style hostel offer you a wide variety of accommodation. All our rooms are with private bathrooms and windows. We have different types of rooms according to your requirements, twin room, triple rooms, and 4-beds rooms. Each room is furnished with beds (including linen, bedding, and towels), a closet, clothes rackets, and a private bathroom with solar panel heated water. Whether you are a solo traveler, with friends or families, there is one type that fits your needs.

We know how important it is to be nourished from the inside, especially after surfing and yoga. We have a fully equipped kitchen in our hostel, and we locally source as much as possible all the produce for our cuisine. All your meals will be hearty, healthy, and freshly prepared. Food and beverages are available to you throughout the day.  Vegetarian or vegan options are also available along with any other special dietary requests.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Our resident and certified surf instructors are very friendly, patient, and experienced (more than 5 years of instructing experience in Taghazout and around). They will bring their combined and extensive experience, and give you a set of thorough and detailed courses according to your level. Of course, they will also take you to the best spots in this area and have the best surf ever in the Moroccan waves! Come and enjoy the endless sunshine and amazing waves with us. 

Our surf course usually starts from 11:00 to 15:00 every day (including transportation time, and lunch time), provided with all surf equipment (surfboard and wet suit). Each surf course will have 2.5 hours of instruction time, and the rest of the time you can practice by yourself. No worry our surf instructors will be nearby to ensure your safety. 

If you are interested in other activities, we also provide other services with extra pay, Camel Ride, Horse Ride, Quads Bike, Boat Trip, Jet-Ski, Hammam/Hammam and Scrub
Massage, Trip to Paradise Valley, Hiking, Car Rental and etc.

MORE INFO, HOW TO GET THERE & FAQ

If you are a beginner surfer, you are welcome all year round. If you are an experienced surfer, we highly recommend you visit in autumn and winter (the average temperature is around 20 to 28 degrees during the daytime). you will find the waves you want.

The main surf season takes place from October through to April, with the biggest swells hitting spots like Anchor Point in December and January. If you’re just starting out, the summer months can be a great time to learn in Morocco. The crowds are limited and the waves peak between 1.5-4ft in July and August, making it the perfect destination for first-timers.

You can reach Panoramas beach (3 mins), and Anchor point (20 mins) within walk distance from our camp.

Anchor Point
was first surfed in the ‘60s by Australians. It is a world-class break, which lights up when there is the presence of a medium to large northwest swell. An endless succession of cutback hooks and speed walls present themselves with a section that is more sandy down the point, providing occasional green rooms. This area works well on all tides, and there is even the chance to ride back into Taghazout during periods when the waves are huge.

Ways to get to the camp

Agadir airport is the closest airport to Taghazout. It will take 40-minute directly from the airport to Taghazout. If you are coming from Marrakech or Essaouira, the best way is to take a bus to the Agadir bus station. we will cover the transportation in Agadir. If you want to come directly from those places to Taghazout, we can also arrange direct transportation with extra fees.

Compared with other surfing spots nearby, Taghazout has convenient transportation, various shops, and chill-out vibes. it's also a place worth sightseeing.

Also, something to note is that once you are in Taghazout, it can be difficult to get hold of cash. There are no ATMs or banks in the village. Your best bet is to exchange all the cash you need before you arrive. The ATM at the airport can give a maximum of 2000 dirhams ($200) at a time, which is usually enough for one week's spending in Morocco.
