Ty School - Belle-Île-en-Mer's Surf and Stand-Up Paddle School
19 years of passion and sharing with you. The first surf school on Belle-Île-en-Mer, Ty School opened in 2006 on the legendary Donnant beach, renowned for its waves and unique setting.
Whether it's our surf courses, guided stand-up paddleboarding outings, surf camps in the Basque Country, or stand-up paddleboard yoga, we offer customized services in a friendly and safe environment, delivered by a team of passionate experts in these disciplines and with in-depth knowledge of our region.
Features
Located on both sides of the island (windward and leeward coasts), our surf spots are situated in protected and classified areas, the starting point for raising awareness about the marine environment, its fauna, flora, and ecology, which we share with you during each of our sessions. Observation, understanding, and sensitivity to our marine environment are priorities. Surfing and the related activities we offer serve as a vehicle for developing your connection to the sea, a central element of our teaching approach.
Ty School is certified by the French Surfing Federation, guaranteeing the quality of our instruction, facilities, staff training, and equipment.
Since 2021, the school has been a partner of the "Brittany Brand."
Commitment, a sense of community, openness, and imagination: Ty School showcases the Belle-Île region through these core values ??that define our identity. The use of eco-designed surfboards, the recycling of our wetsuits, and our bio-sourced materials are just some of the processes we have implemented with respect for the fragile natural environments that surround us.
In this era of resourcefulness, we have chosen eco-responsible suppliers.
Our goal is to help you optimize your approach to surfing by guiding you to understand and experience the aquatic environment to the fullest, so you feel like a fish in the water!
A top-notch team for your training and safety!
